Heading to LA for the first time during the first week in April. Two destinations will be Lake Charles and New Orleans.
    Any suggestions?
I was hoping to find a nice tea house for high tea. That seems to be a bust.
Fortunately they have Ethiopian restaurants so I know I can get my favorite cuisine there :)

Magazine Street is neat as is Audubon Park…..especially on the levee by the River. Our daughter lived there for several years until 2005. Then Katrina came.

All Magazine Street Merchants - Magazine Street New Orleans The street looks interesting enough. I think I'll pass on the park, though. I am not very outdoorsy in my urban travel adventures. I only 'do' parks when I have company from out-of-town and THEY want to see the parks.

I did walk along Magazine Street and took quite a few photographs. Well worth the time. Also saw the WWII Museum and ate at Daisy Dukes twice :)
