Well im looking for a new hobby somthing i can do in my spare time. and i cant think of anything id like to try (have only been thinking about it for about 10 mins now). So If anyone could share there hobby or what not that would rock. Im broke and i do not own any cameras. My only hobby right now is Playing banjo and burning CDs lol. Any help?
My hobbies are drawing and writing poetry. I am not sure if you would be interested in either of the two, but they are relaxing and enjoyable hobbies.
Do you live near the beach? Try surfing. If you get into it, it will seem like the best thing in the world. I promise. Otherwise try something artistic or sporty. Get a group of friends together and play a game of soccer or football or something
I think some friends and I are going to play some drinking baseball. I do live by some large body of water (Lake Michigan) but the waves are not really ideal for surfing. I could be wrong but i dont see to many surfers when i get out that way. I may get some paint or somthing that sounds fun.
may i suggest air brushing. or if you are the spiritual person try a new type of mediation. Also, something that I consider I hobby is protesting! Find something you passion for and get out and do something about it.
How about bird watching? Get a book, a bird feeder and seed, and assuming the birds come, over time you can learn the species of birds in your area. The one thing that might make it worth it, apart from any enjoyment you get, is the knowledge. If you learn enough, people will be impressed with what you know. You might hear, "Hey, what bird is that?" ...and you'll be able to tell them. Another hobby I've tried is model trains. The track, engines and railcars can get a little expensive, but some of the scenery can be made with cheap materials.
I agree with lunarflowermaiden that writing poetry is a spiritual, relaxing and free activity. But if you're looking for something a bit more active I suggest going for a long walk in a country area...unless you don't live near one. In which case I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Peace.
I reccomend knitting. No, it is not an old lady sport. It is very spiritually relaxing and meditative. Knitting also helps the environment because it means you do not have buy as many clothes made in factories.
I was working night shift in a job that required about 2 hrs of concentration out of 8. Picked up everything I needed at a yard sale for 20 bucks. So I started tying flies. For you non fisherman types, those are flies for trout fishing. Don't know if you fish, just an idea....Alaskan
Damn, lol u took, mine =] you could try making collages out of all different materials =] or making flowers thats fun lol, well for me anyway peace
well my hobbies r too much , i don't have the time 2 do them all so u can borrow one it's drawing , soccer , tennis , playing guitar , doing graphics ( that 1 is fun & don't cost u anything , grapping a mic & talk 2 any1 or no1 , drawing comics , writting some poems , walking around with no reason , listening 2 music , etc......... so dude u can do anything u want it's a free life ^^ just enjoy what u're doing
You could give collaging a try! It's pretty easy and all you need is glue and magazines/paper/little toys anything you can find around the house. I ushally do collages on old records that I pick up at the thrift store and have got some awesome results.
Hmm, banjo you say? Try a new instrument, if not several. For that authentic "wow dude I just listened to Ravi Shankar on acid" sound, get a sitar. The learn Hindustani. Then go to India to find someone who knows how to play it properly and get him to teach you.
yea, these are all great hobbies. playing instruments, tennis, sewing clothes, writing, reading, thinking...those are things i do =]
