new hand~dyed yarns

I went a little balistic posting some new things in my store... a handknit bag (no lining, but only because I can't sew that well, so you'll have to line it yourself if you want!) and some new yarns that I've handspun and dyed myself... the yarn is 100% wool, so good for felting if you're into it, and the bag is made with LionBrand Microspun yarn, a VERY soft acrylic!

Thanks They actually turn out to be some good colours for the summer.... Hand-dying is so much fun... I can't wait to get another batch of yarn to colour!

Lovely work, I love the colors you used... Where did you get the raw wool? I ask because I no longer eat animal products and have found myself shying away from wool since I stopped. If I could find a good small-scale, free range sort of farm where wool is sheared from happy sheep in the summer I might go back to it.

 

I love the I "heart" you bag, that is wonderful !

 

I'm rather proud at how this particular batch of hand-dyed's turned out, not to say that the others I've made didn't turn out well, but I was able to get a bigger variety of colour mixes for this one, which is kinda cool.

Thanks I'm quite partial to it myself, I'm actually kind of proud of how it turned out.

Some of my wool I buy at Michaels' craft stores, some I find on ebay. I couldn't tell you if it came from free-range sheep or anything, although I too would like to find that sort of thing!
