I enjoy the Halloween movies and I have to say the new 2018 trailer looks pretty good... always been a fan of Jamie Lee Curtis
I saw only one of those movies...years ago. I was in high school, and it was playing at the drive in and we just went to the drive in to see whatever. We didn't care. Anyway, I remember being scared AF. We all went more or less to hang out. It was a double feature. XFiles was the first movie. We pretty much just got wasted during that and watched Halloween all fucked up
Yeah, I will probably go to the movies to see it, mainly cos JLC is in it and sounds like its a showdown between her and Mike
Had no clue this was coming out, I thought they were done with this shit. I'll go see it because I like Jamie.
I thought so too and then I read something saying they were kind of ignoring the whole original series aside from the first 2 movies...
Yeah I’ve always liked her... I think just because she kinda reminds me of my mom a little bit haha And I actually couldn’t stand Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies... too dark for me... I do like his music to some degree though
Looks like your standard fare, but I guess horror is horror. I'll probably go see it, even though I know it's just...a few deaths and then the bad guy gets "killed."
I agree although the Rob Zombie version was a box office success I didn’t really care for it. I didn’t like the way he tried to delve into the reason Michael Myers was the way he was. Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasant) said it all in the original movie. “I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy’s eyes was purely and simply… evil”
i thought that part was pretty interesting actually. where rob's version lost me was when he tried to cram the entire original movie into the last 45 minutes of his version.
Same... I like the mystery of why he was this psychopath... And I hated his portrayal of Jamie Lee’s character... turned Laurie into kind of a jerky girl who cussed all the time and was a little nasty to the kid she babysat... I like wholesome Laurie from the 70s
I’m a fan of Rob Zombie, I enjoyed House of 1000 corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, and 29 years was certainly a long enough time to wait to film a Halloween reboot; so I don’t question his motives, only his approach to the film. Like Jude I enjoy the mystery behind the Michael Myers mythos, I don't need to know the details.
