we need a life in the wood/country forum for those of us who have to deal with bunk chainsaws, water pumps, plumbing, leaking roofs, strawbale housing timber framing, cord wood building ect. I know I live in the woods and these are just a few of my daily thoughts and I just want a fourm that I can talk to folks my age about life in the woods and what I am working on and not sound nuts.

I mean there is something to be said for re starting the fire every morning or getting up in the night to feed the fire.

or all of the daily things like pumping water.

    lets get some feed back

You need to ask in the Suggestions part of the site really: http://hipforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32

I asked for a forum about sustained living (using solar, wind, aquatic turbines, farming, water systems, sanitory, and indeed dwelling construction) but my request was denied! :p

In fairness both the outdoor living and communal living rooms only have a few posts a day so I'm not sure there is really the demand for further sub-division - my posts ended going in either one or the other forum rooms really according to mood. ;)

if you can't start a new forum can't you create a personal forum about it? just an idea.
