    Whats happenin guys?!

I'm debating on buying a case of New Castle or a case of Fat Yire for the weekend. I know, two totally different types of beer but thats waht its come down too.

What do you think the average price for a case of each is and which one is a better value?

I am not sure about Fat Tire. They don't sell it around here. The Newcastle will probably run around 28-30 dollars for a case, at least here in the US. I am not a big fan of Newcastle because it tastes too artificial and they add sugar to their beer. Certainly bottom of the barrel when it comes to brown ales, though I suppose it's fairly drinkable nevertheless if you're looking for a fairly decent session beer that goes down easily and can be consumed in quantity.

i like newcastle but i dont buy it often. i get it at bars sometimes if i'm out and its one of the few drinkable beers they offer.

new belgium is not distributed in my area, so i have only been able to drink a beer of theirs once, on my last trip out to washington state. i got a sixpack of their tripel, though, so i dont know what fat tire is like, though i understand its one of their most popular brews.

the tripel was good, but i've had better. still, it was good, and the brewery has a good reputation, so i'd assume fat tire is also pretty decent. i'd probably be tempted to go for that over newcastle if i had the choice between the two, but thats mostly cause i'd like to try fat tire.

just figure it out when you're at the store. i've never seen a store carry any larger than a twelvepack of newcastle, though. honestly around here you only see cases of things like budweiser and such.

Fat tire most definately, new belgium beers are overrated, but fat tire is much better than newcastle. As far as price goes, they are about equal here.
