    Hi everyone

I belonged to this forum once before but couldnt remember my login information and no longer use the email that it was registered to

In any case, Hi. Im A. 28 year old female that has dealt with anxiety and depression since I was young. Im currently on Zoloft 75mg once a day, Ativan as needed, and im also prescribed adderall 20mg. I try not to take adderall a lot because it makes my anxiety worse but honestly, my anxiety is bad no matter what.

Recently Ive started taking more adderall then usual. I take about 20mg a day and at my highest, 45mg. It does wonder for my depression and my anxiety/adhd at the time its working. It allows me to unjumble my thoughts and makes my anxious thoughts go away so that I can actually accomplish shit. But the crash. Oh my lord. Its horrible. Ive always been super sensitive to drugs in general but I feel like my crash is worse than it should be. My doctor said it could be because Im not keeping a steady dose of the drug in my system and that Im basically peaking and then crashing. She tried me on adderall XR to take in the afternoon to help with the crash but it literally put me to sleep.

I know I should probably just stop the adderall altogether but its hard when it gets me so motivated and makes me so happy.

I guess what Im wanting out of this post is anyones input, thoughts, etc. What can I do for the crash? Should I just stop taking it? I take magnesium at night as well to help but it doesnt do much. Also, I drink a ton of water but it makes me pee so much and I almost worry my electrolytes are getting out of balance. I probably dont eat as well as I should, but I do eat. And I smoke a lot of cigarettes.

    meh.

I wish I could off some good advice. I think the reason that your message is not getting responses is because most people can only say what would be best for themselves in a situation like that. And sometimes coming off might not be the best thing to do.

If you really want to come off of any drug, you should get direction from your doctor, or another doctor that you trust. I'd research alternative therapies in the mean time.

There are several threads on hip forums in which people ask how others have dealt with anxiety, or depression, or other problems - and they get really good responses. I think you should try this route (as one way) to get ideas about coping strategies, if you do plan to come off of medication.

I've had a lot of problems with anxiety and depression. I take Zoloft as well, 100mg. I also take Abilify (generic) and the combination of the two has worked wonders for me. Maybe ask your doctor about it. Is adderall addictive? If so I'd have an honest talk with your doctor before problems develop. Good luck.
