Hey all I'll be trying acid for my first time in a few days and I was wondering if I would be at higher risk for a bad trip if I'm prone to panic attacks. I tend to randomly think of say...a sweaty man with blue skin running into the room with giant scissors and cutting my fingers off...shit like that. Fucked up I know but it happens and I go into panic attacks because I think about the pain and the fear and all that jazz.

Anyway, just wondering if I'm going to become suicidal my first trip lol. Thnx for feedback :)

    seriously.
everyone comes here scared of having a bad trip.

LSD will help cure your panic attacks by either:

-giving you the scarriest panic attack of your life and then you realize during your panic attack it's all a bunch of fucking bullshit and you need to shut up and stop freaking out (Seriously. You'll just snap out of it and realize how much of your ego is getting in the way)

-showing you there's more to life and nothing to panic about.

I used to have "panic attacks"
    then I got over it
and moved on with my life.

    have fun mr enlightenyou

    peace

Go in with the intention to understand the cause of your panic attacks and they will be blatantly obvious if you sit down and think about it.

It might take a couple of trips, don't be afraid to go to deep.

    nah man,
I've helped cure people of their panic attacks with their own use of LSD.
You just have to find the source.

I agree with stalk 100%. I've learned much about my inner self with psychedilics. I consider myself much more kind, wise and just overall happier thanks to them.

I say this is how people should go about things when wanting to try heavy psychedelics

    1. Smoke weed with trusted friends
    2. Smoke more weed with trusted friends
    3. Smoke weed with new people, acquaintances
    4. Smoke more weed with new people
    5. Yet again smoke more until you truly feel comfortable with yourself around people you don't fully trust yet

    6. Trip on 1-2 tabs of acid or try 1/2 8th shrooms with good friends

it is more likely that a few trips will help you with your fear. sure you are very likely to have what most would consider a bad trip but that is not necessarily a bad thing. i have had many trips where i spent all night in fear and panic - those trips helped me understand my mental illness to a point where i no longer suffer from any mental illness. it was all in my head, a figment of my imagination, the fear getting the best of me. when i cleaned up my karma and realized there is never any reason to fear anything i was better. now i can enjoy wonderful trips free of fear and discomfort. the person i am when sober is far better now thanx to lsd.

a few of the older people who post here are very quick to say someone should not trip but they are people who no longer trip themselves and are under the impression that they are doing a good thing by installing fear into the minds of the inexperienced.

it all depends on your attitude. if you are optimistic that a trip will heal you than it will but if your fear of being permanently fucked from a trip is more than your belief that it will heal you than you are cursed and will probably suffer like some of these people expect because of there own experience.

ditto that advice. Tripping in my case was the cause for my panic attacks (due to doing it too much).. and then the cure after much time. I've found that psychedellics unroot mental issues in many of my friends, it's almost like it makes us speak our problems when we trip.

    :)

edit: On another note, many of my friends who've went into a trip without even thinking of the negatives in tripping, usually ended up having an overall good mental unwinding trip.
