Yup, even the staunchest supporters of Bush & the war in Iraq have turned on him and his administration over their incompetence. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2006/12/neocons200612 With them and the religious right also withdrawing their support, how much longer can the war go on?
In a fascist dictatorship, which is where we are headed, it doesn't matter what the people want. Bush has pretty much declared himself fuhrer already. The man has been given power that no president before him has seen. Besides, if push comes to shove, all they need to do pull off another 9/11-style attack and blame it on the Arabs, and we will be back to square one again. The flag-waving sheep will come back out of their holes and literally demand we obliterate the Middle East. There is no end to how the public can be manipulated into accepting war and tyranny.
Ah, Rat, you haven't been paying attention lately. Even the most devout Bushites are re-examining the depth of their blind faith. Big changes are afoot. Bushit can try to pull another war out of his ass, and he and Cheney & Rummy are ready for it with 4 of our best aircraft carriers and their complete task forces floating in the Persian Gulf right now (not to mention everything else we have stationed there). They're just waitin' for the trigger, which will probably be the elections itself. They want to hit Iran big time. But once they do, Israel will be targeted by THOUSANDS of missiles, coming from Lebanon, GAZA!, Syria and Iran. Those are the stakes. If Rummy goes for it, he'll be remembered forever as the one who pushed the fucking button that obliterated the mideast, and all will be lost. I think more and more ppl are coming to the conclusion that we have madmen running the country into the ground.
BTW, if they're gonna attack Iran, it had better be soon, cause they now have a LOT of weapons we can't even neutralize including cruise missiles, which may soon be nuclear tipped...
I voted #4 I am fully aware that Bush's Republican base is turning against him. I do follow the news, even the mainstream news. Still, there are more than enough brownshirts who will support him and the neocon agenda no matter what. This includes politicians and American citizens (cannon fodder) alike. Just because some neocons (I am referring to the PNAC neocons mentioned in the article) have (supposedly) turned away from Bush, does not, in any way, mean they have turned against their perpetual war agenda for the Middle East, which will likely not change no matter who's in office. Bush has simply worn out his welcome in the neocons' eyes (mainly because the public is no longer buying it) and it's time for another puppet to take over from where Bush left off. Bush's war in Iraq is incredibly unpopular at the moment because of Bush's presumed incompetence in handling the war, which really isn't incompetence at all to those profiting from it. The prolonged war in Iraq, though unpopular both here and abroad, has created the justification for the building of numerous permanent military bases while making certain people extremely rich with no-bid weapons contracts. Keep in mind it's neocons behind Bush, like Perle, who, at a certain level, are behind the war in Iraq. Not Bush himself, who is merely a figurehead. How convenient is it for neocons behind the war, like Richard Perle and William Kristol, to blame Bush when he's too stupid to even tie his shoe. These were the people who told Bush to go to war in the first place. Don't fall so easily for their deceiving rhetoric. My feeling is that these creeps are merely playing a role to make themselves look good, because, after all, Bush is the expendable one. If people (aside from the PNAC neocons) are turning against Bush as much as the media likes us to think, then how is it that fascist legislation is continuously being passed, being voted in favor of by members of both parties? Are you familiar with the recent Military Commissions Act which was recently passed on October 17th of this year by the House and Senate? If not, you should be. It basically established Bush as fuhrer. I know this has nothing to do with the war in Iraq or with Iran, but it shows the fascist, totalitarian direction in which we are headed as a nation. The direction in which this is country is headed is one where soon, it won't matter what the people want or don't want. Remember, Bush is "the decider" and he "decides what's best". It's getting to the point where, soon, anyone openly opposed to the neocon agenda can simply be deemed an "enemy combatant" and dealt with as seen fit by the state. And like I said before, don't think the Democrats are going to save you because many of them are simply playing a role in order to deceive you. Many of them are members of the same secretive organizations, such as the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and are working to fulfill the same New World Order agenda in different ways. Like I have said numerous times in the past, politics are nothing more than a formality for public consumption, to divide and conquer, while making people believe that they actually have a choice when they in fact have anything but. It's staggering how many people are gullible enough to buy into this system when it's so obvious -- at least to me and many people I know -- that it's a complete and utter joke being played on the public like they're a bunch of idiots. The agenda we see being carried out in the Middle East comes from the top-down, and even the top neocons are merely gofers working for people behind the scenes. Again, the same people who fund and control BOTH political parties. When you really look at it, the neocons are merely willing stooges working to fulfill the agenda of people we never hear about or see in the news. As far as Iran, c'mon.... Most of what we are hearing about Iran is hype being sold to the public by the controlled media to make the people fearful and easier to manipulate. That is, after all, the media's job. I don't buy a fraction of it. And even if Iran has the weaponry to wipe out Israel and by some chance does, it would only be of benefit to the people who want full control over the Middle East, to control the oil and standardize it under the Elite's fiat money system. The people who run Israel (which are the same people who run the US) could not care less about the Israeli people, who have been used as targets from the beginning the justify endless conflict with Israel's neighbors. At the top, the people running the show and their minions have no allegience to any nation or state. Their only allegience is to the global system they're working tirelessly to create, which seeks to eventually eliminate the very idea of national sovereignty. The bottom line is, if as many people are against Bush as some of us like to think, he would have been impeached by now.
You appear to believe that Iran is in the process of acquiring nuclear weapons, and may soon be in posession of a nuclear device. What diplomatic action, if any, do you think should be taken?
The neocons haven't dropped their support they've gone undercover. Officially the PNAC disbanded, but don't be fooled they still hold influence through republican think tanks. They got their way with the US's total disregard for civilian life in the Israeli/Lebanon conflict, and they will continue to guide US opinion if questions aren't ask. You might want to check out those now supported/payed by the American Enterprise Institute,
the real issue here is rat was so much more fun when he was ignorant of reality, he drank lots of beer, told us about far out music and wasted his days filling up random thoughts with random thoughts
Kagan is one of the founders of the PNAC. Someone please tell me how you seperate war from murder. Unless you stand to profit from war, when you watch fellow humans die it's murder. And he's not a fan of Rumsfield's either, I guess Rumsfield didn't support his free fall funding of the Military Industrial Complex?
We will have atleast a few troops in for a few more years i think. The number depends on the upcoming elections imo.
:withstupi LMAO! Truth is, he spends his days on MyAttentionWhore.com waiting for barflies to land in his section of the web... :toetap: Come on Rat, don't leave over that now... :chill: We love ya!
No, he's right about everything he put in that post. And Rummy won't be the one pulling the trigger on Iran, either Israel will or it will start with an attack on a U.S. ship by Iran provoked by U.S. aggression in the gulf (keep in mind that both the U.S. and Iran are in the midst war games in the gulf right now[and bush isn't about to leave office with the fear that a decade from now he will be blamed for allowing Iran to become the next N.Korea]). People on here have been dogging rat for a while now, but regardless of what you think of his theories on who is behind what you have to admit that current events are not showing him to be incorrect... The way that laws have been set up the last couple years, elections could be canceled tomorrow and as long as there is a semi-decent reason that they can give the sheeple for doing so (false flag attack maybe) the majority would not even bat an eye.
Correction, he would have been tried for crimes against humanity by now... you and i both know that aint going to happen. Things are going to get worse, the house has already been built and now the only thing missing is for the bars to put in the windows. Judging by the current results of skip's poll, it looks like hipforumers are not as optimistic as he is.
