Hello: I am a 47 year old hippie chick looking for work and a place to stay. I lost mty job at McDonald's. They canned me. But after what I heard on the radio last night I would not work there anyways. If I do not find a local job pretty quick I will be putting my stuff in storage for as long as I can afford to. Then I must hit the road in search of a new job. I am currently in Eastern Tennessee near the NC state line. So I must have a for sure source of income. Or like a place to stay near a labor hall that sends out enough women that I can at least get out often enough to take care of the storage and my needs. Which isn't much. I am willing to travel or do a live-in assignment like child care, cook, elder care. Can do chores on a farm or such. I do know how to use a manure shovel and pitchfork. Of course the more money the better but my needs are few and mostly I just need a place to hang. I do not drive and I do not have a license. So I would have to relocate by bus or thumb. Or if it is close enough I can get a ride from a friend. Thanks. Peace, Cricket
Just wondering... why don't you drive? Neither do I, and I don't plan to, because I'm frankly afraid to, even though I was learning to drive for some time. A bad experience on the road freaked me out and I haven't since, and I never got my license. Just wondering how you've got along? Because I'm wondering how I will...
Hey cricketlind, you can be my roomate if you want. Im 19 years old and Im moving to a new apartment a couple of towns over in Massachusetts, Cape Cod. Ill also drive over to you to pick you up if its needed. Trust me, driving that far wont be a problem, I once drove across the country to rent out an apartment lol. It was fun anyway though. Or you can have your friend drive you, doesnt matter to me. Im not really a hippy guy myself but I love hanging out with them, so it should be a good time Also Ill help you out with finding a job around here, so if you want, Ill supply you with a phone number of some good paying job so you can call them ahead of time. If anyone else is reading this and is interested, please pm me for more info, Ill be leaving soon!
sorry someone just filled your spot if somethin comes up ill let you know if your still lookin around though
Life without a license is tough. You bum rides. You make friends with folks who do drive. But it sucks depending on others. I got a ride to a local labor hall and got some work but then she got canned for doing stupid shit and that messed me up on work. But I did get a job at the local Burger King. So now i don't have to get a ride and I got work. For now that is. I still would like to relocate to a better town eventually. There are a few cool people here but not many. I start Friday at Burger King. So, at the moment I got work and a place to stay. Just in the nick of time. Peace, Cricket
