Okay so, basically one of my favorite pairs of jeans developed a hole in a less than trendy spot... so I went to patch them with a regular iron-on denim patch made for simpletons like myself, should've been easy, right? Well, I guess the patch I cut didn't allow for error and it ended up kind of shifting more to one side of the hole, so that the tear is still exposed on one side enough that they'll keep tearing.

Trying to figure out what would be best to do. Do I attempt to remove the patch and try again with another? Can I patch over-top of the first patch? Like, is it a problem if I just overlap it with another? Or should I try to slip a thin piece in along side it?

    Any advice is appreciated! :)

learn to let go. once you've patched your jeans, they never feel the same again.

You can probably heat the patch up again with the iron and pull it off.

Just Do What I Have Done For Years.......

To Fix A Patch I Use " Silastic"... It's A Product Usually Used For The Sealing Of Roofing And Gutters.

Lightly Coat Both Surfaces ....Wait For 15 Minutes....Then Press Them Together For 24 Hours.

Even The "Hot Wash" Option Won't Seperate Them..... :)

    Cheers Glen.

I know people who use denim patches with textile glue. Works pretty well for kneeholes apparently. But you can try stitching it in as well. It's pretty easy. Use the strong thread though. I don't know how it's called abroad, iron thread? Steel thread? The stuff used for buttons on coats. It's strong as hell.
