room temps, bro.. you keep swinging temps its bound to spoil it... ideal would be something metal that could not catch fire, like a kitchen cabinet. get a 100watt lamp put in there for heat.. (shrooms dont really need total darkness during colonization. but if you feel they do put a towel around them. be sure to let them breath..
a cooler needs air, even with jars. There must be fresh air.. Coolers are breading ground for contaminates. Unless you buy a brand new one. Cleaning an old one (needs be washed in scalding hot water, bleach- Ive never seen a cooler taken care of and they always smell moldy-mildew .. our shrooms sit on a shelf in a cannabis grow room, the shelf is above the lighting height - it is not dark (til lights go out)- there is air movement, these temps go from 60F night to 80F Lamps on... This conditioning is like the outdoors. though only fluctuates once a day, it is a constant. since we grow in bags this is fruiting chamber, but have other totes with humidifiers.. cant flood the whole room with moisture cause the plants. My question to you is.. What you going to do once they fruit?.. How will you provide heat for them then and once you do fruit them. Your now a host waiting for contaminates. So you might as well start building your FC/ fruit chamber now... you need to provide both heat and moisture, spraying is a pain in the ass. building a shotgun fruit chamber is easy and provided both heat and moisture. might be something to think about .. an aquarium is ok, but its not the best thing.. you should ask the gentlemen at the Shroomer.org , There they can help you.. when you get tired of them being assholes, come back and enjoy the party, and welcome to Hip Forum..:sunny:
Yea, go pimpstyle and risk the 20$ on a new cooler, then yanno, you got a f'n new cooler no matter what. But otherwise, take care of your cooler, and no brother you can not borrow my lawnmower!
