I've been brainstorming this idea for a while, but I really can't figure it out. For my nephew's 1st bday, I want to make him a personalized board book...large-ish, like 9x12 maybe. I had planned on doing it collage style, and possibly using ModgePodge, but then i would need like clear contact paper or something to cover it, in case he sticks it in his mouth. I want sturdy cardboard pages with rounded corners, and I can't figure out what to use. Then there's the issue of getting it bound. Obviously, spiral is not safe for a toddler. I want it to look like a regular board book that toddlers have. I considered buying a book that was the size i wanted and then collaging over it, but I'm not crazy about that idea. I wish they sold blank ones! Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.
