Wake Up Boo! - Boo Radleys Summer's gone, days spent with the grass and sun I don't mind, to pretend I do seems really dumb I rise as the morning comes Crawling through the blinds I shouldn't be up at this time But I can't sleep with you there by my side Wake up it's a beautiful morning Feel the sun shining for your eyes Wake up it's so beautiful For what could be the very last time Twenty-five I don't recall a time I felt this alive So WAKE UP BOO! There's so many things for us to do It's early so take your time Don't let me rush you please I know I was up all night, I can do anything anything, anything But you can't blame me Not for the death of summer No you can't blame me Not for the death of summer But you're gonna say what you wanna say You have to put the death in everything
Sparkle by phish. I think that songs rather happy... laugh and laugh and fall apart, laugh and laugh and fall apart, laugh and laugh and fall apart, laugh and laugh and fall apart, laugh and laugh... or the beatles gettin better... i have to admit its getting better, getting better, all the time!
okayalright by moe. it's upbeat and it always puts me in a good mood umm.. moe.'s my fav band so I'm having trouble thinking of other happy songs from other bands... um... Sugar Magnolia has some positive lyrics. "What I got" by Sublime is a get-you-in-a-good-mood-song. Yeah, that's a good one.
Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody, Within Temptation, Finntroll and Luca Turilli come to mind... I have a small blister in my mouth.
oops I know Im late here, but I had to add BLIND MELON Listen to All That I Need, Life Aint so shitty, heck even No Rain... All that I need is the air that I breathe And all that I need are things I don't need And all that really matters is what matters to me And who of you are like me If I was to smile and I held out my hand If I opened it now would you not understand Because you know if I'm to benefit I'll do everything that I can And who of you are like me It will make you feel good, over my shoulder It'll get me down and got me tied up 'Till I grow older, but feel me inside of you Like you want it to But is it just the pains in your head That are thrilling me Another life's falling down onto it's knees But I'll never smile the way, that I did like that day Everything will be okay It'll be okay
'No Rain', 'Life Aint So shitty', 'Soup', 'All That I Need' ~ Blind Melon 'Never Too Late', 'Yes I Will', 'Everyone Deserves Music', 'Pray For Grace', 'Feelin Free', pretty much the entire 'Everyone Deserves Music' cd ~ Michael Franti & Spearhead "Instant Karma!" ~ John Lennon 'Here Comes The Sun' ~ The Beatles 'Pick Yer Nose', 'Imagine', 'Buildings and Bridges' ~ Ani Difranco I'm sure there's more... check out the cd 'Soup' by Blind Melon too.
My Sweet Lord - George Harrison (always makes me smile) Sheep go to Heaven, Goats go to hell - Cake (dito) Heavy Things (original version) - Phish Good Morning - Beatles Free Four - Pink Floyd (lyrics may seem a bit downward, but it makes you appreciate the short life you've got) Bend in the River - Leftover Salmon Last stop this town - The eels Satan Gave me a Taco - Beck Hotwax - Beck Do You realize - Flaming Lips Tangerines - Flaming Lips Black Water - The Doobie Brothers
YEM by phish.....such a typical response, but so true. there's that one super happy, ecsatatic, quiver and shake, shivers down your spine moment. it's beautiful. i'm sure you'll know what i'm talking about when you hear it.
