Convincing would not be the best idea. I think you should bring it up in a conservation to them and ask for their thoughts. My wife and I have talked about swinging and such.When we started talking about it, I brought it up to her and then just let think on it for a while. I didnt bring it up again to her, once she was ready, she brought it back up to me and we began talking about it and talking about boundaries, talking about what we would like as a couple or what we would get out of it. Weve discovered it turns us both on quite a bit, but right now we arent ready to go that far.
I think there are kink surveys that couples can take that is a way of learning about boundaries, I think you both fill it out and then discuss your answers...If the survey asked about swinging or swapping and she said "never" then that would be a red flag on how to approach it.
