Hello, I am new to this forum. I joined it hoping I could get to know some nice people and make real life friends. I thought I use this existing thread to post in. I am from Germany, 23 years old, and will soon begin a masters degree in London. I mainly enjoy 60s and 70s music and really identify with the "anti-materialistic" ideas and attitudes of hippies. Yes, that is exactly what I used to say when I would meet up with people and anally rape them. I hate this idea that what one is "into" is a good basis for friendship... I've noticed my best friends are not generally into the same stuff as me, though our tastes do cross over in places, it seems that they are in a different demographic. Could I ask the reason why you don't have enough friends? And suggest that you solve that problem before grabbing more friends like a greedy fat child grabs at cakes and biscuits? Else you may find that the quality and substance of your new friendships are not what you had hoped.

Hi, I'm from the South West and there's nothing wrong with wanting new friends!! I've been trying to find friends who are into the same things as me for a long time. Yes, it is possible to have friends who are not into the same things but it's also really amazing to meet like-minded people and get a chance to discuss your favourite things :gossip:
