I suffer from sleep paralysis very very often and i'm always aware of it and always terrified because i am aware that i cant move. now, maybe this experience wasnt actually during paralysis, maybe it was a dream, but i KNOW i couldnt move my body and i KNOW something weird was going on i was aware of things like the fact that it was the middle of the night and the fact that my cat was on my stomach and the fact that i could see hazy images of my room as if my eyes were paralyzed too but i really honest to god believe that i saw a ghost the other night ok it happened when i was paralyzed [or i think i was] and like i said i was aware of a lot of things but next to my bed there seemed to be like something there that i could see out of the corner of my eye.. not quite a person but something waiting there and i was surprisingly serene when usually im terrified when i realize i cant move. a few minutes later i had realized something that appeared to be sitting on my bed almost as if i were being stared at. later on i began to sleep peacefully and i had a dream that i could tell was a dream and was very different from what had just happened. in it there was a woman sitting on my bed staring at me with dark glasses on but i felt her making eye contact behind the glasses. i can remember every detail of her face and something about her was familiar but i keep searching for someone in my life or my family history who she could have been but i got nothing so far. idk.. idk what happened or what that could have been but all i know is that i felt surprisingly at ease instead of afraid. i felt comforatable instead of worried and i woke up feeling totally confused and intrigued so i figured i'd try and get some input.
nothing is wrong with you. everyone goes through that; the thing is, the vast majorty of people don't recall the paralysis. sometimes i'm aware of the paralysis when, i'm just starting to wake up. it is also quite common to dream of being paralyzed too. i have both of them from time to time. they won't hurt you. in fact, having body paralysis when just starting to come out of sleep is a good thing. if people came out of sleep ready to move about as in a full waking state, they stand a strong chance of dying. the paralyzed state allows a persons body to adjust from a sleeping state to a waking state. in your first dream, your kittie is sleeping on you. are you sure about that? i have 4 cats and, all those beasts sleep on, or around me all the time. when i dream about cats, i feel safe with them in my dreams. ghosts don't freak me out in my dreams. i just let them do their own thing. i don't know what to tell you about the woman in your dream. it is your dream. it comes from your brain, mind, spirit, and soul. only you are the one to understand what it means. in time you will be able to understand what your dream means.
