Need emergency translation - For a speech!

Hello my German friends,

My name is Lucas, and I am looking for someone to help me translate something. I have taken german for four years now, and I can hold conversations just fine, and my pronunciation is very good. I wish to give a speech to the upper German classes at my college, as part of my degree this semester.



If there is anyone here who is 100% FLUENT in German, and is willing to translate a 1 page document written by Carl Sagan into German for me, I would be eternally, eternally grateful.

Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distantimage of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.

Also, um ehrlich zu sein verstehe ich dich nicht ganz. Du studierst Deutsch schon seit vier Jahren, und du willst, dass jemand diesen Aufsatz für dich übersetzt, einfach so. Ich meine, das ist ein Teil deinem Hochschulabschluss. Willst du wirklich das jemand das für dich machst? Ich bin mir sicher du könntest das fehlerfrei machen, und selbst wenn ein paar Fehlern auftreten, wäre das sicherlich nicht so schlimm. Immerhin wäre das dann deine eigene Arbeit. Menschen machen Fehlern beim sprachen, selbst wenn das ihre Muttersprache ist, so was ist vollkommen normal.

Bitte verstehe mich nicht falsch, das war alles nicht böse gemeint. Ich kann sehr gut verstehen, dass du das Perfekt haben willst. Trotzdem denke ich mir, wenn du dich das von alleine schaffst, dann wirst du warscheinlich glücklicher, und mehr zufrieden mit deiner Arbeit. Du könntest das vielleicht versuchen und nochmal posten. Ich weiß da sind hier einige "echte" Deutschen hier, die dir vielleicht helfen könnte.

Ich weiß nicht, aber für mich gibt es einen Unterschied zwischen Hilfe und Rat, statt jemand das einfach für dich macht, ohne deine Meinung dazu.

Wünsch dir trotzdem viel Glück, ich bin mir sicher der Vortrag wird erfolgreich sein.
