Need An Essay Topic

So I need to write a 1-2 essay for English. Apparently my teacher is grading based more on mechanics so we don't really have a topic that we need to write it on.

You guys have any good [school appropriate] ideas?

 

Was the character Jabba the Hut; based on the real-life story of a former mafia kingpin?

Well I was going to give some advice until I read that. Now I feel slightly ill... Fuck that essay, you've got a trilogy to watch. I'm sure the teacher will understand.

 

Take a short story like "Rules of the Game" or "The Necklace" and analize the hell out of it from a philosophical point of view. English professors love that. Are you in college or H.S.?

That always got me points.

 

Ha. High School. But I'm pretty much up for anything. Nothing like a little intellectual work at 10:00 at night. Of course, I stayed up till 4:00 this morning finishing a project for the same stupid class. Which got messed up, so I wasn't even able to turn it in today. God hates me.

 

Ha. You're going to have to explain that to me. Then maybe I'll do it. It definitely sounds like it could be a good title.

Ha. I'm pretty much like that, except without the weed part.

I'm scared to think what I'd be like in the case that I smoked pot. Because even in my natural state, I'm like the calmest, most laid-back, worry-free person ever.

Maybe I could do something on how obscenity has went from nothing more to a word, then to something really taboo, and then to just a normal everyday part of culture.

I'm about halfway through. The title of it is "The Religious Placebo". Not sure if I like it or not. I'm guessing that I'm just ranting and rambling as I always do. I'm a horrible writer nowadays.
