Nazi / "Aryan" Black metal

I get so sick of browsing black metal albums and for the eighty-eighth time seeing one with a song entitled "Aryan Blood" or "Kristallnacht" in it...

Have you any idea how depressing it is for someone pro-equality as me if your favourite music seems ridden with a bunch of fucking French and Eastern-European fuckers who have "Quand les Svastikas etoilaient le ciel" ("When the swastikas decorated the sky") or "Le dernier bastion blanc" ("The last white stronghold") for song titles (both songs by Seigneur Voland)? Seeing logos ridden with suncrosses (= white power signs), swastikas and these funny upside-down-peace-signs-with-no-circle-around-them thingies... Coming across bands that classify themselves as "true aryan black metal"... reading interviews for underground e-zines only talking about the white man's struggle for the supremacy is supposedly deserves...

Basic national-socialist black metal (NSBM) philosophy: "Hail our pagan ancestors! Everyone who does not descend from our pagan ancestors is inferior and should be enslaved and/or killed, including the christians who killed and/or unpaganed our pagan ancestors, and the jews who took the land that rightfully belongs to us (seeing as it belongs to our pagan ancestors)!" I mean, that's just silly. Logical development from black metal's tendency to want to go back to old barbaric times, its glorification of warfare and its aversion against christianity, but still. So incredibly useless.

A few weeks ago I was at a concert of a few non-nazi black metal bands and it was filled with guys with white shoelaces, SS-pins, Totenkopfe, white power tattoos. I was so pissed off. I mean god damn, go listen to some skrewdriver or hooligan rock or gabber or better yet just go fucking kill yourself!

Get the fuck out of my music!

 

It seems nazism is on the rise in Europe...is that accurate?

Kind of ironic considering nazism basically caused the destruction of much of europe.


I remember when some skin heads infiltrated the punk scene...even though the bands didn't have anything to do with that.

 

i dont think nazis are any more abundant in black metal than they are in punk or any other type of metal... like gothenburg or stuff like that... Nazis fucking suck!

 

It is, yes. It's very sad. How stupid can you be?

Most of these nazi black metal fans didn't have bald heads but their long hair was pulled back very tightly with hairgel, and tied into a very thin ponytail. They wore bomberjacks (dunno if it's called the same everywhere in the world), and white camouflage pants that didn't reach their ankles but were wound tightly around their legs just at the start of the shoes, of course army boots with white laces. They're very easy to recognise and usually very easy to recognise. They're basically skinheads but with long hair and shirts from crappy bands like Absurd, Nokturnal Mortum and other bands who explicitly use nazi symbolism and lyrics.

 

It sounds like they are a bit challenged in the fashion sense department

 

doesnt rammstein have nazi symbolism in it (altho they sold out and are not black metal)

 

there have always been idiots but Europe used to be politicaly correct..you could say anything as long as you didn't insult other races,cultures,religions or sexes.

the current idea is that freedom of speech is more important than the rights of minorities

 

I don't know if thay're more abundant in black metal than elsewhere, but they're certainly more explicit since they are destined to stay rooted in the underground anyway. I never heard of any nazi gothenburg metal. Maybe Dissection? I always found them much more black metal orientated than death metal though (brilliant music, I must say). Anyway, I know Jon Nödveidt from Dissection shot this (homosexual?) Algerian immigrant to death but am not sure of any political background for this crime.

I also don't know of any communist / pro-equality black metal bands. The core of black metal ideaology is despise against christianity anyway so they'll certainly not extend their equality to christians? Plus, they love war and death, and even lots of non-nazi black metal already throws the word "holocaust" around at random interval, and never in a disapproving sense.

Care to fill me in about any commie/EOE BM bands?

side note: holy shiznit burial of an era joined WMA? Awesome... THE WMA is awesome... it lets underground bands do shows with HUGE metal bands like Macabre... the WMa just got done doing a show with macabre and damn! What a good way to get your name out thur.

 

Indeed... I'm not sure what to think about this myself. I mean, freedom of speech is good, but I think people also should have the freedom not to have the promotion and glorification of violence against them tolerated. I care more for the common man that happens to be part of a certain group than for anyone despising that group for no valid (to me) reasons.

Sigh... I don't know, I just think advocating violence in general should be a criminal activity, be it part of a political affiliation or not.

But then again, black metal is about advocating violence against humanity as a whole (and christians) so I guess I'll have to tolerate the ones who do not tolerate others.

Not as far as I know. I know German pretty reasonably and I haven't come across anything suspicious, and since I've become a little paranoid about national socialism within music I would probably have recognised it.
