i've been recently wanting to get my belly button pierced, not because i like to show off my stomach, but because i like it for me and if i do show it off, its an extra cute lil thing. so i want to know the positives and negatives of it. and if u have one, i wanna see a pic, cuz i think they are adorable...thx
If it makes you feel good, then why not? I think naval piercings on women are so sexy and such a beautiful piece of jewelry to wear. The weird thing about that is that I'm gay. But naval piercings on guys, no way, just doesnt work for me. Holy shit!!! Am I going bi? LOL!
Hi, I am not really into piercings or tatoos but I did have my belly button pierced THREE times! lol I only had to get it done so many times because I have endometriosis and had to have some surgeries done. Now, FINALLY, they have these things that the docs will let you put in your hole so your piercing doesn't close up while in surgery. I loved having mine. My husband thought it was super sexy and after I have the baby and slim back down I am going for the fourth time!!!!! I am a pretty conservative type of person, not as much of a free spirit as some folks on here and for me I felt free and a little bad (in a good way) by having mine pierced. Good luck and show us a pic after you have it done. Oh one more thing...the second time I had it done the guy who was piercing it pulled really hard and to be HONEST it felt like someone had fish hooked my stomach. That hurt! But the other times it wasn't so bad. Just warning you!
I'm a little overweight so I really got this done just for me so it would be something fun to have. Well not to scare you away or anything, but mine is rejecting and looks horrible now. But thankfully I can get it pierced again and it'll probably be okay. I wonder what causes rejection...
I like the piercing to an extent...its just getting annoying because it seems like in order to go through puberty as a teenage girl now, you have to get your bellybutton pierced
The only thing that seems to be a problem with navel piercings is that they can take up to a year to heal, and you need to be relatively on top of them when you are healing. If you change your jewlery too soon, you can get that unhappy redness that SillyBird has. (Speaking of which, your piercing looks like it's unhappy, not rejecting SillyBird.) Try doing some salt soaks on it!
i have had mine pierced since forever ago.. when i first had it done, it didnt hurt and it healed fine... never have a problem with it unless my pants hit it and rub it all day, then that irritates it.. But i never had a problem with it... and sillybird maybe put a ring in that doesnt have something hanging on the end, maybe just a stud so that you dont have that irritating it more...
I love my belly ring. The only downfall is when it starts to heal, it itches like a mother fucker. I flicked mine the first time I had it done and it bled forever....so don't flick it. If you don't take good care of it, it can become all shitty looking....it shouldn't be red or purple around the holes....if it is, there's something wrong. Make sure the piercer knows what he's doing as well, when he puts the mark and the clamp on your belly button, ask to look in a full body mirror so you can see if the piercing is centered, if it looks off, ask him to re-do the mark. I love my piercing now....it's cute.
i dont think in order to go through puberty as a teen girl you have to get ur bellybutton pierced. Thats the silliest thing ive ever heard. didnt u read what she said why she wanted it done? for herself because she thinkk it would look cute on her and it will give her a sense of beauty maybe. plus you could say teen girls do a lot of things in order to go through puberty. and thats not the case at all. If someone wants to pierce something, i think they should be able to pierce it without question. yes a lot of teen girls have it done, but that doesnt mean shes doing it to fit in or nething. I dont think she cares if neone else has it done. newyas acoustic, i say go for it and find out for yourself if it hurts. Heck ill go with ya. haha
Rejection is caused my the surround skin pushing the barbell out, it sounds like a contridition but if you put a bigger gauge in a rejecting whole it will slow the rejection down because the piercing also needs to push back against the skin thus the bigger gauge puts more pressure on the surround skin. It sounds backwards but it is the truth.
kewlll i just started a thread for the same reason! l0l should have just read this first...DUH!! im only gettn mine for me;cute x-tra thing + my bf things it would be sexxy
