    The silken threads of the twilight,

    Will slowly weave into night.

    When fireflies dapple the darkness,

    With droplets of twinkling light.

    A hazy moon lightens the evening,

    The earth is now shrouded in mist.

    The fog settles down from treetops,

    Assuring each blossom is kissed.

    The stuttering chirp of the crickets,

    Are singing the flowers to sleep.

    Their beautiful eyelids are drooping

    And they slip into slumber so deep.

    The doe cuddles close to the roebuck;

    The birds fall asleep in their nest.

    And silence descends on the woodland,

    As god puts his children to rest.
