Does anyone know a natural detox for removing toxins from the body? I want to detox, but I don't want to go to the health store and try one of those fad cleanses (for example, the Wild Rose Cleanse). I drank a bit too much recently and I just feel gross, and I really want to detox my body...and yes, I plan on taking some time off of drinking and living as clean a life as possible...
I think most of these detox things are a quack, since your body naturally detoxes itself. But if you must use something try coconut oil, appe cider vinegar (with "the mother" in it), also avoid processed foods and only drink water.
Activated charcoal also works great if you take it following a night of drinking to absorb some of the toxins from your system.
It's not really a detox program. It's really something you should always have once or twice a day to help keep your system clean. Plus it energizes you and all sorts of other things. And yes it is very cost effective, since a big bottle of Bragg's is only about $5 and will last a while.
How do I use it then? Just take a shot of it, twice a day? I read that it helped with fighting colds, and I gurgled with it once many years ago when I had a wicked sore throat. It just ended up making my cold worse.
pour a tablespoon or two in a glass of water. I suggest drinking it through a straw because its extremely acidic. Some people dont like the taste but I don't mind it.
No, it's very acidic and can damage your teeth if you drink it straight. Mix about 2tbs of ACV with at least 8 oz. of water then drink it.
no, i meant you should eat your liver. you could try it your way too though. and also, No, it's very acidic and can damage your teeth if you drink it straight. Mix about 2tbs of ACV with at least 8 oz. of water then drink it.
I heard a water cleanse is good at detoxing. But, it won't work if you don't do it properly. Aloe Vera juice. Apple Cider Vineager. Matcha Tea. Coconut Oil. I heard are all good for detoxing. I never done detoxing, but there is a lot of things that claim to be detoxing out there. It's kind of insane how much information there is out on the Internet about detoxing.
The apple cider vinegar is good advice. I also find yogurt good to restore the internal flora, esp after a nite of drinking. Once upon a time there was this thing called a "liver flush" that consisted of the following: orange juice extra virgin olive oil garlic Some add more ingredients, some use grapefruit juice. I've tried it but can't say it did much, as I never followed thru and did it a lot. Don't forget the colonic if you have more serious intestinal problems. Fasting is also a good idea, although that will cause toxins to be released into your bloodstream during the process, until eliminated. I used to do some juice fasting when I worked for a Juice Company. One guy did a carrot juice fast for like 45 days (he looked orange by then). I swear the guy looked like he was gonna die...
sweating extensively always does it for me. This time of the year even low intensity exercise should do it. I just cut grass and I'm sweating buckets, I feel great though I dont think there is really any magic detox method, just exercise, sweat, and eat healthy whole foods. I do agree with the acv. I always feel slightly flushed after taking acv (male sure it is unfiltered) so I can see how it has detoxifying effects. Not gonna lie, drinking it diluted in water taste really gross. I make a small greens salad a few times a week and mix a couple tablespoons acv with olive oil for dressing to get my acv fix. Add some crumbly cheese like parmesan or feta and it takes some of the bite out of it.
