    Actually 11 months from the March date the article was posted will make the asteroid 2 months late. All the members of the cults that time their mass suicides for 12/21/2012 will be cold and interred and the laughter at their expense will have died down.

    The Mayans predicted the date and the time, seems the location the end of their World.
    Therfore, to me, the unknown location of such arrival has been corrsctly predicted - If it is anything like Sibera, Life will go on, though Contingencies should be put in place (and surely they have to have been done so already?) and preparations made - though as it is not commercially viable for those in corporate position, I guess once again the little man will have to deal with the consequenses (????)

    Why wouldn't they just fire a nuke at it while it is on it's outward path... shatter it, the pieces would be so scattered they would just disappear on entry when if they did make it back to earth years later... although I think if done right, even the pieces wouldn't make it here as the momentum from the nuke, if timed right, should send them out of earths orbit....

    I'm sure someone has an extra nuke kicking around they want to test....

    Well if they dispensed with it now they'd lose the opportunity that a dire crisis presents as we move forward in time... who knows, that asteroid issue might be very valuable element in someone's presidential campaign- enabling them to accuse the president of placing our survival in jeopardy by cutting the NASA budget and whittling the nukes down! NASA can track it but damned if it can do anything about it... oh look-- Iran is going to rescue us with their previously denied nuclear capability! Go Iran--- go-go-go... launch that nuke... 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1... blast off.... oh noes--- a problem with ballistics... it'll fall short. Oh dear, it landed on Israel.

    You post illustrating how asteroids positions are determined sorta casts a shadow of something a bit beyond doubt over the time line and story in general. Indeed it's a possible future move in the game of distraction to divert the sheep away from the fact that they're being backed into the slaughterhouse.

    Well, you also have to keep in mind, that the illustration was for observing it from one point only... add in a couple of other points of reference such as the ISS, as well as different observatories on earth, and it seems sorta inconcievable that they wouldn't be able to tell exactly what position and path it is on within a couple of months at the outside.
