Names

I just thaught of this when I saw a young woman introduse herself by her first name on here.
When on the net, or in here.. Do you introduce yourself by your first name?

 

on the net i only have or need one name; themnax. no first and last to it.

patranymics are in a major way a crock, because no one, no soul, seriously 'inheirits' traits in their cells or their blood. awairnessess aren't the ofspring of the parents of their bodies. souls come from the soul place. we're born into boddies to walk arround this tangable universe in. kind of like training wheels on a bicycle.

the only reason to need more then one name is this whole crap of naming people after each other, which to me, is nuttier then a damd fruitcake to begin with. if everyone had unique enough names, mostly this wouldn't be needed at all.

of course in larger towns, where there are a lot of people, then a few might still end up with similar sounding names. then, and really only then, would you need a second or more then second name.

and for that i prefer locatives, such as served this purpose before patranymics became the inanely mundane mainstream. back however many thousand or so years ago.

locatives such as glibnard of three mountains, of felzag of flat rock, that sort of thing.

instead of james bolivar de'griz, or mary ellen mortvain.

Usually I always use my pc name Erzebet.....only my friends know my real name

 

I just go by hippy dippy online but If i talk to some one for a while online ill use my name if i really feel i can trust them..sounds paranoid but o well in person i always use my name lol

 

names are just names they dont really matter that much to me anyway I just like talking to people

 

yeah, i use my first name, don't wanna give out my last name. you never know who's on here. and i'm not going to make up a new one, since KC suits me so perfectly.

 

I Think Alot of People know my First Name...On Here...

 

Some know first, middle, last name, address and phone # from hip but not many.

 

i've used my first name on here...fitzy is a nickname - last name being fitzgerald...

most know where i go to school, its really easy to find, exact center of Vt...not really scared of the big bad internet predators...

but anywho...most of the regulars know my first name, but i just go by fitzy because thats what i tend to go by in real life

 

what's in a name

i have a few different names in real life anyway. i introduce myself with whichever i feel like at the time, usually people pick a name for me though anyway

 

i have given out my name first, middle and last
i've given out my address and my phone number
i really don't care
i'm very trusting online

I have never given my name out to others over the net. Since I have a fairly unique first name and an italian last name, it would make things alot easier for cyber predators..ya know..

But names arent all that important, its if your drawn to the person your talking to that matters.

Yeah I've given my name. Some people use it on here instead of calling me tree hugger.
