Well im new here so im not sure if this topic has come up before so if it has Mod delete but for all the months ive been looking through here never seen this so here it is. Everyone name the strains you've tried and name your favorite strain. Ill start it of course

The lemon is actually pretty damn good too.

 

WOW, I never realized there were so many different strains of marijuana. We never had anything like these back in the 70's. Normally it was simply named by where it came from.

I dont doubt the Acapulco Gold but the Maui Wowie....

 

I can't say that any of the types of pot actually came from the places that they were named after, except the Maui and Black Vietnamese. But each one had distinctive characteristics and I could tell the difference by their look and smell.

The Maui Wowie came in a sealed can from Hawaii that said coconut flakes on it. It was bright green and the buds almost looked like seaweed. It didn't look or taste like any of the other kinds of pot at the time. Later when people started getting into hydro, that look and taste became more common.

The Acapulco Gold I had was a very light brown, basically tan, no sign of anything green at all. You know in the fall when trees have their leaves turn color, I'm told that's what had happened to these plants to cause the color change.

Mexican was just you're standard cheap pot, you would need to smoke a lot to get high.

Jamaican would give you a wide awake buzz, and you felt great even after you came down. You could still think and function as if you were straight, but you had all the best feelings of being high.

Columbian would make you stupid and tired, so you would crash when you came down.

Panama Red was like Columbian, but had definite signs of red fibers all through the tops.

The Black Vietnamese I got from a relative that brought it back with him from the war over there. It was the darkest green pot I had ever seen and looked black in anything but bright light. Very potent stuff.

The Thai stick was actually tied to a stalk from a pot plant using strings of hemp stripped from the stem. That was the strongest stuff I've ever smoked. I found out later from people that went to southeast Asia, and it turns out that they would mix up THC and spray it on to boost the strength. In other words, Thai stick has been treated and isn't actually that strong when grown. The act of tying it to a stick is just an easier way to spread it out and evenly distribute the THC when spraying, also helps in the drying process, because it can be hung.

-Similar to pollen in Spain in reference to its shape, hardness/softness, harsher smoke (straight in stone pipe), nice herbal flavor, heats up nicely for use, strong body effect

-very local, neighborhood feel to the shop itself
-the aroma of this weed reminds me of the way dog shit smells when it´s on the bottom of your shoe - it just hangs around. Doesnt smell like dog shit, though. And it´s more that it doesnt smell as strong as that, but smells in "that way"
-very crystally, cured nicely, still pretty moist but it´s dry. I think it´s the crystals doing that...
-uplifting high, not too stoned for first days smoke, "nice and high", burns well with good ash

Greenhouse Namaste

-fruity, bubblegummy aroma (similar to ruderalis), airy bud -- definitely sativa, nice red hairs

Alot of great shit around here man. It sounds like our prices are alot higher than quite a few other places I hear on here. Almost all the stuff listed above was 25 a gram. VERY well worth it though
