I don't know exactly, but I'll name the bands and try to name the concerts in chronological order, details and forgotten gigs are optional.

Iced Earth (heavy metal) 19-01-02, 36 guilders, Tilburg (best gig ever! 3 hours set with different backgrounds, stage stuff, clothing, and just pure heavy metal, I'm pretty proud I saw them live with the best heavy metal vocalist ever still in their ranks)

Ulysses / ...? (prog rock), Rotterdam (can't remember much. It wasn't too good.)

Behemoth / Diabolic / Deströyer 666 (black, death, thrash metal), 8 euros?, Rotterdam (we had to catch the last tram back before we could see much of Behemoth. Diabolic was boring, but Destroyer kicked ass)

Dutch Doom Day 2: Evoken / Mirror of Deception / Whispering Gallery / Desire / Bunkur / Ataraxie / Lahar (doom metal), 8 euro?, Rotterdam (great day, though I got really really drunk)

My Dying Bride / After Forever / The Prophecy (doom, gothic metal), 15 euros?, Antwerp (MDB is an awesome band, glad I saw them, rest was good too, too bad we missed most of the first band because we lost the way)

Dimmu Borgir / Hypocrisy / Norther (black, death, thrash metal), 15 euros, Tilburg (Hypocrisy owned the gig with a great energetic show, Dimmu appeared to be just synths, drums and vocals, and they didn't seem to enthusiastic. Very disappointing performance.)

Betonrot 2003: Israthoum / Lady! Die / Enforcer (black, thrash metal, screamo), 0 euros, Hellevoetsluis (I fainted so I didn't like it, lol. Missed Liar of Golgotha who were headlining)

Summer Breeze Open Air 2004: Sentenced / Six Feet Under / Hypocrisy / Sodom / Tankard / Sonata Arctica / Tristania / Lake of Tears / Ensiferum / Evergrey / Dark Fortress etc. etc. (20/21/22-08-04), 39 euros? (or 49?), Abstgmünd (four great days with German friends, great music and awesome atmosphere)

Appelpop: Anouk / Within Temptation / Skik / Mortivore etc etc (gothic, black metal, pop), Tiel (nice day, Mortivore was awesome! WT were better than I expected, too bad my little bro got sick during Anouk)

Liar of Golgotha / Serenade of Darkness / Mortivore (black metal), 8 euros?, Rotterdam (reasonable. Nothing to write home about. Mortivore disappointed compared to Appelpop)

X-Mass Metalfest 2004: Marduk / Napalm Death / Dark Funeral / Vader / Unleashed / Finntroll / Belphegor etc (black, death metal), 18-12-04, 30 euros, Tilburg (I saw quite a few great bands live here, had a good day though I drank too much too soon and ended up not feeling well enough to fully enjoy Marduk)

Grave / God Dethroned / Katafalk (death metal), 11 euros, Rotterdam (God Dethroned owned, Grave was simply boring, Katafalk were alright)

    Planned concerts:

Alanis Morissette (pop/rock), 19-04-05, 39 euros, Rotterdam [IMG] (YESSSSS!! I love Alanis)

Pig Destroyer (grindcore), 01-05-05, Weert :) (Pig Destroyer rules PERIOD)

first concert: INXS the Republique square in Paris, France, Summer Solstice 1993. It was a free public performance for a few thousand people, and I was drunk as a skunk.

Since then I've been to a few concerts; sometimes chemically stimulated, but in the past few years I've preferred sobriety...
Pink Floyd, Rush 2x, King Crimson 2x, Critters Buggin', MMW 3x, Ozric Tentacles 2x, Buckethead 4x, Primus 3x, Col. Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains 4x, John Zorn/Mike Patton/Ikue Mori (Hemophiliac), Slayer 2x, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Dio, Andrew WK, Joan Jett, the Shins, Jimmy "the Lion" Smith, Christian McBride, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Soulive, Vinny Golia, Nels Cline/Alex Cline, Trilok Gurtu, John McLaughlin/Al DiMeola/Paco DeLucia, Evelyn Glennie, Phish, STS9 3x, lots of avant-garde chamber music, some other crap I can't remember offhand...
Upcoming: Robert Rich, Ellen Fullman (Long String Instrument installation in SF), Terry Riley, Ozric Tentacles...
Want to see: Tortoise, Bardo Pond, Gong, Acid Mothers Temple, too many others to list.

my list, like others who decide to post anyway, is way too big to read, and who really cares what shows other people have been to?

i say we make it simpler: first show, fav. show, last show, band we most want to see but haven't (that still tours)

first show: mxpx (very early mxpx)
    last show: alkaline trio
    fav. show: radiohead or spoon
want to see: the shins or arcade fire

just for good measure: shut up butters
