myspace pros and cons

Sicne the whole myspace scene came up, what do you think are the pros and the cons of having it? do you think it changed the world for the better or worse?

pros: the music scene blew up like no other, new bands and groups are popping up and becoming famous out of nowhere, you can become famous from your own home. You can listen to full songs from any band in the world and get concert updates. the best way to meet friends, through other people you know, a great way to plan parties, get togethers. i could go on forever

cons: child molesters, spys, people hating on other people. jealous girlfriends, all kinds of stuff.

i use it fer travel. keep in contact with folks. i also use this for that. here i can jabber about random bullshit tho.5 minutes myspace versus 1 or 2 here.good fer bands tho.i think its illegal to speak about myspace here. if so all posters here will disapear mysteriously.new porn new movies new games n a computer. im perplexed.

It just depends on what you make of it... when it comes down to child molesters, spys, people hating on other people. jealous girlfriends.... they make ways to get around that. Privacy settings and being able to block the people you don't want bothering you takes care of those things. Personally it's helped me get into touch with many high school friends and keep in touch with family in such. These days people are moving, numbers change, but when you have myspace you can keep up with new pictures of friends's kids and always have a way to get ahold of them.

 

ide give her one fer christmas. cant really flirt with strangers on myspace. here i can sexually harrass all sortsa folks.at first i thought i got in trouble fer mentioning myspace a month or 3 back. seems unlikely tho. perverts never bother me. prolly cuz im not innocent enough or sumthin.plus im too old fer pedophiles n junk. hey pedos thats me below see how young i look? poor milli on the left .

Anyway, there are many things I don't like about MySpace. For one, it's slow as hell. When I am trying to post a blog, it sometimes won't post. I often get "page cannot be displayed" errors. And I always get these webcam sluts and people promoting shit bombarding my "friend request" folder.

MySpace also attracts a lot of young kids and general idiots, but I don't go there for the mindless gossip.

 

cons: people that use their webspace to promote all this mindless crap, and you have to spend all day scrolling through their damn webpage........ I dont want to mention any specific people here, but.....

 

Pros - watching stupid people argue about eachother's 'top 8', resulting in the ends of relationships that would have no doubt spawned very, very stupid children.

Cons - knowing Rupert Murdoch and his evil media empire had more or less succesfully taken over a third of the internet.

 

myspace kinda started to seem like an aplication for my personality that people could just look at and think they know everything about me and what kind of person i am when I dont even know....

im alot more than what i can conveigh through myspace, text or even words for that matter......

and myspace exascerbates the fact that people that cant understand this will assume or act like they do......

and i dont like that

Cons: I dropped out of myspace because there were so many imposters and pimps. I could not stand guys trying to get me to have sex with them or to call them. WTF! It's like my site had to be on private at all times because they keep coming back. Nobody reads your profile anymore...they just look at your pics.

Pros: Corresponding with friends. Music connections. Travel blogs!

 

I think I mostly forget about the fact that other people can or do see my profile... I think I mostly just set it up for a few people who wanted to see pics ... I don't usually blog on it .. I don't have time... I don't really think it's done a lot of harm.. just let those people who have character flaws like jealousy or hatin on people have a new outlet

the infamous top 8....oh god did that start problems when my ex saw that...fucking myspace is gay, i have one, i used to be the shit in my home town, have like 900 friends, where i only talked to like 50-75 on the phone and were considered as friends...then i had an epiphany, myspace is fucking retarded...so i just deleted everyone i didnt talk to...and now i have it on lock so no one can add me and shit..i like it that way more

 

One of these days I might actually join there.

All my real friends know that is the day I lost my mind and to kill me.. fast and with fire.

It's more and more tempting.

 

I love myspace simply because I can stay in touch with friends easier. Oh and it is funny to see my friend requests after my good friends leave me dumbass comments like calling me a dirty whore and things like that.

true, but its not any worse than people who promote mindless crap about conspiracy theories and the like..... who are just as brainwashed, even more so, than the people who just live their lives not worrying about shit like that

 

Right... basically people who don't want to think, but instead remain in their comfort zone and blissfully ignorant to the world they live in.

 

I can't stand myspace. Just look at the title...MYspace...Just another component in the self centered me first generation we see in todays teens. Why not ourspace for instance? or something more social and inclusive? Instead, it just serves as an aid in allowing kids to have a perspective of the world where everything revolves around them and their space....
