you don't actually need the mycelium for an LC...collect a specimen (mushroom) as sterilely as you can, wipe a tupperware w/ iso alcohol and store it there to get it home then simple make up the actual liquid culture and when ready swab the stalk w/ iso alcohol and simply stab a sterilized needle through. A chunk of tissue will be forced into the needle tip, you can then shoot this into the LC. Or you could just take a spore print and innoculate, may be easier.

this is a very delicate and fragile life form, while its totally possible. Once you disturb it you need to move fast. I have not succeeded in doing so and without lab, sterilized equipment (proper petri dishes, microscope , doing this with the naked eye isnt very easy..

You can do it, but you're gonna need agar or a cardboard clone. Basically some way to clean it up. Just clone it from the inner tissue on the base of the stem.

Thanks people! I'm joining the mycologists society on the university here, they are quite good so I'll have a laboratory and a lot of stuff that I can. As soon as something happens I'll post it.
