My Wife’s Friend (f)

My wife (29F) and I (28M) just recently got married and we’ve and she introduced me to her best friends (when we first starting dating), who are also a married couple (MF) around the same age.

Ever since I met her female best friend she’s always given me weird vibes. She’s super cool but some of the things she’s said and done has caused me to raise an eyebrow and it doesn’t seem to bother anyone else.

For instance, she saw me one time and said that I was handsome at least 4-5 times. Another time I said I had a headache and she began rubbing and massaging my head. She’s always hugs me multiple times and rubs on my back or shoulders for a few seconds whenever we double date. She always laughs hysterically at my jokes, always agrees with me, and I always catch her looking at me. The strange part is it doesn’t seem to bother anyone else and it doesn’t bother me, but it’s just weird because I’ve never been in a situation like this before. I love my wife and I know she loves her husband.

Are they swingers? Is she just a really nice person? Is she attracted to me?

Please let me know if I’m overthinking and overreacting, if she’s doing subtle displays of attraction or if she’s just a really nice person!!

That’s what I think as well. We’re going to be friends for the rest of our lives probably so she will always be around lol

 

We hang around a lot of friends sometimes (old college friends) and she never acts like it with anyone else. My wife says she never done anything with a woman before. My wife also doesn’t really seem to mind and her husband doesn’t either. They may not even pay attention to it

 

I have not asked her. The next time anything happens (we’re hanging out in a couple weeks) I will mention it to her

 

Some people are just more touchy feely. Me, I'd rather not do the huggy stuff with people I do not belong to...it's just awkward.

 

I think she wants to SWING with you, you should carefully see if your wife is open to the idea.

 

Just reach down and drag a finger along her camel toe and see how she reacts! You may be pleasantly surprised!

 

Update: We recently had another large friend outing recently. I’ve noticed she likes to be around me or sit by me in certain situations. There were about 10 folks in our hotel room (only 6 in slept in our room). One time I was laying across the bed and she joined me a few moments later. We weren’t spooning or anything but we were close enough that I could feel the heat from her body. No one seemed to mind but me, which makes me think I’m overthinking things. My wife later joined her, but she later said she has no interest in women.
On another occasion, we were sitting down and our thighs touched each and we both had space to move our legs and neither of us did. All of this has happened while her fiancé and my wife were present.

This is getting stranger, but somehow it’s so much fun.

 

I personally would not touch another man's wife. The risks of all kinds are simply too severe. Nope, not even tempted.

 

I once knew a neighbour who, loved to chat with me and make light-hearted fun of each other. She often described our friendship openly with her husband and my partner, as 'we just get each other'. Then a couple of times, when we were in a group and about to sit down, she would be seated and pat the cushion beside her suggesting I sit beside her. I did and then she stood up before sitting down again, much closer to me. So close that it was almost awkwardly close. If my partner had noticed I expect she would have had questions.
And we did get along well, I thought, such that one day when she was leaving our place to go home, and my partner was upstairs supposed to be coming down, my neighbour kissed me passionately and she squeezed my trousers. I bulged.
However, a few days later when we met outside, we chatted for a few minutes and when I leaned in to kiss her, she pulled away saying I was totally inappropriate. We have seen each other since as would be normal given that we are neighbours but she avoids contact. Might be worth considering how that might affect your friendships if it were to pan out like that for you.

Yeah, she sounds like trouble. Serious trouble draped in a red flag. I’ve meet a couple of women like this who send one signal and then the inverse and then act offended. Then attempt to start another cycle as you’re adjusting your rear view mirror.

 

IMO this scenario is too close to home. I've never messed with the wifes friends, a buddies wife, neighbors (although there's been a couple I would've loved to fuck), acquaintances, or any other women that might know my spouse. It's just safer that way. Having an affair if done the right way is exhilarating. Of course you shouldn't ever reveal that you have engaged in extramarital sex but still, doing so seems to elevate my mood for days. But it's just something I keep to myself and my sex partner at the time. Any other advancements by women close to home I take as a complement and that's it. Acting on it might just lead to deep emotional issues that can and should be avoided.

 

There is no right way to do something that is wrong to begin with.

 

I smell danger in this. It sounds to me that she is trying to tempt you into making a move on her, either to cause a problem between you and your wife or simply because she like s the drama, but I suspect the former. I'd be keeping my distance.
