Ok, I was wondering alot of things about my hair and below i'll show some pics but here are some questions:

    1. Are my hair dreading at all(my hair is naturally curly so dont be fooled)
    2. Is my hair even long enough to be capable of dreading?
    3. If my hair isn't long enough to dread should i just continue to wash it like i use to and just wait for my hair to grow out more?

Also, I've stopped combing and using shampoo and stuff since maybe mid november, so I'm probably not being patient enough.
But im just worried im doing this all for nothing, cuz my hair might not even be long enough to show results.

But yea here are some pics of my hair right now.

Yeh, I know my hair is a death trap, but I don't care about what people say bout my hair, cuz I love it. So, bashing of my hair is not needed.

ur hair will dread fine, just give it more time.
but ur hair is kinda short, so that could be why ur not seeing that much progress.
    in due time.

It is a bit short, but i can see it getting nappy, besides the natural curlyness. If you want to shorten the most unpresentable part of the process, i suppose you could save some time looking crazy and brush it and wait a few more months, but either way who cares.

    I wouldn't brush it out.
All you need to do now is grow it out.
Don't forget to get plenty of calcium, bioton, fish oil and the essiatial vitamins. Without these the hair growth could get a tad stunted.

Hey dude! You've got hair like mine, thats awesome!

Youll have no trouble dreading, just give it time and a gentle washing every once in a while. put your hair under a hat and in a month or so you'll have dread babies. in 6 months youll be growing locks. check out my album, i started "dreading" when my hair was that short. there isn't any kind of method, just let it grow and itll dread, you've got the hair for it.

dont play with your locks too much tho, they might fall off.

    Get a tam hat.
And use Dr. B once a week or so.

Ok thanks, and I know I ask so many questions but
what does a tam actually do for the forming dreads, not that i doubt it helps it, its just that i kno a lot of people are going to ask why i'm wearing it and i don't want to look dumb saying 'idk'. Also, is there any certain stored where they sell tams. Like, hair supply store, or hat store or somethin?

Head shops sell 'em but I buy online. Google tam hats and you'll be taken to many sites selling 'em.
They are good becuase unlike a beanie they leave room for your baby dreads to mave around. A beanie could flatten your new dreads out and restrict it from knotting freely.

Hmm I see I see, so how long should a beanie stay on per day? Lol again with my annoying questions T_T.

No beanies! Lol, well you can wear beanies but try to avoid it until your dreads are more mature. A tam can be wore as long as you want. Some people wear them to sleep.
And check this site out for tams: http://www.hippiecrap.com/

My hair is really short as well. I'm almost 2 months in, little progress but I'm being really patient. You'll see some dreads, just give it time. ^^

Lol yeah, I just can't wait till they come in. Are you seeing any dreads with your hair yet?

And lol MoonDoggie in that case i gotta couple more questions,

Since I don't have any Dr. Bronners at the moment can i use baking soda as a substitute, also if i can do i just mix baking sado with water than pour on my head then lather and rinse?

If you keep this up, by 5 years time you'll have beautiful dreads cascading down your back. Just stick with it and be patient. And keep em clean!

Yes, you can use baking soda. Sadly I never used it so I cannot give much advice on how to dilute it and how much you should use. I'll try to find that info.
