my sister is a very fowl mouthed kid and i hate that she curses. she'll call me names, and yell but then will ask me to do things for her right after. i do them because she doesnt have anyone else to ask for help except me. it sucks because she never says thank you or shows any respect unless she wants something or wants to have a "heart to heart." i feel even worse, because now shes getting yelled at since i getting close to being done school. i wish she would realize that if she tones her anger and frustration done a bit, things would run a little smoother.

my dad only ever beat her when she was little, and treats her like shit only because she looks like my mom (my dad hates my mom with a burning passion) and hangs out with my mom. i dont think my dad should yell at her and threaten to kick her out because she wants to spend time with her. and she talks back and my dad claims she shows no respect when talking to him.

Well it sounds like he gives her no respect. Tell your dad to go get high and think about his actions

i love her sig., too. the best thing you can do with the situation your in with your sister is just be nice to her; even if she is the worst thing on the planet to you. it shows her that no matter what, you won't shit on her like her dad obviously did. :)

Its not her fault if she is acting the way she is if your father is bringing that kind of negativity into the house. Shes probably acting up because she is pissed at your dad, and she has alot of held in anger, so she would be foul mouthed and bitchy. But dont let that stop you from having kids, im sure you wouldnt mess them up. Every kid in the world will blame their parents one time in their lives at least, but you sound like your a good person, and with the concern that you have that you would mess up your own kids, im sure you would be a responsible and caring parent. I have had so really messed up things happen to me in my childhood too, ive been watching my dad die since i was a little girl, and now hes finally in a nursing home, and hes only 55. but he would be violent with us too, but thats actually part of multiple schlorosis, which he has. What im basically trying to tell you is that everyones life is messed up, and she is dealing with it her own way, and maybe its harder for her, since she DOES want to go see her mother alot and its pissing your dad off, hes probably giving her a very hard time. remember she is your sister. maybe you should have that "heart to heart" cus it sounds like there some issues she has and talking to you may help her. i wouldnt be mad at her, both my sisters are the same.

    Only ever beat her?

Friend, being manipulative and kinda bitchy for your sister sounds kinda like a defense mechanism. I can't meet another man without thinking about defending myself against him because of that shit.

Your sister is probably having a rough lot, and I don't know if things were any better for you, but I assume your dads an asshole (if he hit your sister ever he is) and that's something shes having to live with. All you can do is show her love and compassion, and help her out as best you can. Enough love can help her with anything shes going through.

It's not going to be easy though. It doesn't mean you have to accept her being unpleasent. She needs to know that's not acceptable. But given the circumastances, I'd say it's understandable, and you're a good person for putting up with it and helping her.

i meant "only ever beat her" to mean only her out of my older brother me and my younger brother. i did not mean for it to sound like he only beat her as in it wasnt that bad. i think beating anything, weather it be an animal or person is the worst thing to do to human life.

as for my sister currently, i talked to her about it and she still continues to be her fowl mouthed self but she has her good days. if i leave her alone and she needs something, thats usually how it turns to be a good day. i just cant ask her to do things

it may sound a bit lame but my brother picked up the same sort of habit - he'd get slightly aggitated with something and then every other word is 'fuck' in his conversation... which is not only rude and grammatically wrong but incredibly annoying. I had to call him on it a few times and he cleans it up but still...
