out past my back yard lie some rr tracks, today i finished clearing a patch of earth of weeds (about 10 square feet) and plan to transplant some ditch weed just as an experiment. i believe the reason it is ditchweed is because the cops spray it down every year but im hoping that if i can get them transplanted early (now) i will be able to at least harvest seeds for next year if not any bud. is there any specific fertilizers i should be using for this type of grow op? i am somewhat savvy on watering procedure and how to care for them so they dont waste away but i was hoping thered be something i could do to enhance their yield. will i be able to increase yield with extensive care/fertilizing? or am i screwed because the strain is no good? also, the soil appeared to be pretty dark and rich so i am hoping il be ok with that, or should i get some special nutrient soil to place them in? i would really appreciate advice as everyone i have asked so far has had no experience with transplanting.
If the cops are spraying it, I'd be more worried about it being in your backyard. Rail crews can be pretty snitchy people, and if they can see your backyard from the tracks...they'll either stop the train (engine to dispatch, minor trouble requiring stop) and a couple of the crew guys'll hop off, hop your fence and rip off your grow, or if they're a bunch of straight arrows. If you're going to grow, mix them with something like sunflowers. The leaves look similar from a distance, and I've seen many a grow hidden that way. aside from that, I've found most plants do best if you give them fertile soil, lots of light, enough water to keep them from wilting and just leave them alone.
well it wouldnt be in my yard exaactly cus theres a power line along the tracks as well so i got a good spot up on a hill, plenty of light and loootts of vegetation now, should be pretty hard to spot 2-3 plants growing thanks for the input tho
