they are already on 12/12, 4th day now. They started growing under a 100W CFL light. I just a bought a 250 HPS light for them 6 days ago. They seem to be enjoying it =) They are around 27 days old, and I'm using ferts from bionova.

I was suspicious about that one beeing a male even before it showed signs of it , cos it wasn't smelling like the other two, which are giving out a very pleasant odor. Something like coffee beans mixed with vanilla =) I'll remove the male today.

I removed the male today, and I noticed that one of the other ones also had male flowers. But luckily I saw pistils on the third one.
So only this one left in the 12/12 room. I'll cut some clones from it and put it in the 18/6 cabinet.

But now I atleast have enough space for my five speed queens =) I reckon they'll go inte the 12/12 room in about a week. they are on day 12 now

Hi guys, here's an update of how my two ladies are coming along. Four of the five SpeedQueens were males...
First pic is just to show how they looked like early in flowering. Unknown sativa (US) is at day 41 (18 of flowering)
As you can see I had two bend US a bit to adapt her to the confined space. SQ is in the bottom left corner.

close up of US also at day 18 of flowering:

Next one is at day 45 for US, she took well to all the bending. Notice the massive stalk on SQ. Super highway =) SQ is at day 30, 13 of flowering:

a close up shot, day 22 of flowering:

lanky is the word ya... she's at the end of week 6 of the flowering stage. I'm thinking about 2 more days of fert, and after that just water. Thinks thats a good idea? Its my first grow, so I'm not experienced enough to see when its time for these things. In the close up pictures of the buds it possible to see that some of the hairs are turning red, but only a few of them. So my question is would it be to early to stop with the ferts in two days? Thankfull for any help =)

from what i have read about growing is that as soon as them little crystals start turning a golden color its time to harvest. i can see alot of crystals on one of them pics you have posted. i cant really tell what color they are from the photo but it sure looks close to being done. this is just what ive heard that its at the peak potentency when the little crystals are just starting to turn golden. looking awesome though man good work im sure you get alot of good bud from that.

BTW make sure you save all of the leftover leaves and stuff to make some awesome hash :D

sure I'll keep the leafs  Thanks for the info donvito. I was reading in my book yesterday and I found some info about how it should look when its ripe. I read that in the 6th week (for indicas, a bit later for sativas) the calyxes start to swell up, and when getting into the seventh week, heading for the eighth, about 90% of them swell up so much that they look seeded. By the end of the eighth week most of the calyxes have swollen and there has been a surge of trichome development all over the buds. Of course this varies with the strain, but I guess these are good guidlines to follow. About 70-90% of the hairs should have turned redish brown also. I can barely wait till tasting the result.... :sunny: I read something else that I found intresting, that a early harvested sativa gives more of a head high, and a late harvested sativa gives more of a body high. I'm gonna go for something inbetween, or just harvest them as I wrote and smoke them togehter ;)
