my ongoing relationship with famous writer

So... yeah I already told you guys about me and Bernard Werber haha :tongue: wellllllll turns out we have a DATE in Paris cause I'm going there for a few days and he happens to be living not too far from where my sis lives and... well I mean he has a million fans but me the little laety happened to... I don't know... attract his attention more than the others haha I'm sorry I don't mean to not be humble about all this but I'm half not serious... only half though because I can't fucking believe what is happening to me... couldn't it be someone else, more... important?? I don't know I feel like I'm in a movie (or book) right now, it's not real.

Honestly I am not attracted to him physically... but his personality is so awsome!! And he chose me!! Me!! lol

Someone make me land please. This seems too unreal and undeserved.

 

I've heard a lot about Bernard Werber. Never really read anything of his, or watched any of his movies.

What's he like?

 

well he's like... a hippy, with crazy, utopic ideas, but extremely intelligent, and he has so much imagination... he's funny... and very serious too... he's sweet and gentle and though his fans call him a genius or worship him like a guru he doesn't want that at all and stayed simple and humble, proof is... he is interested in me, and I'm nobody

physically he's handsome but balding and I'm more into long or longish, shaggy hair haha but... whatever I feel honored

even just the fact that he just looks for an interesting person to talk to... that's fucking unbelievable since it's me, among, thousands of people on his Myspace who commented on his page.. and maybe he talks and meets all of them too, but.. I doubt it, probably several, but still!! I'm not an idiot though I know perfectly well what could be in his mind but still!! lol shit it's Bernard Werber.. we correspond.. talk about stuff... like friends... I still can't believe it...

 

this is actually kind of sad, your excitement over this, I guess I dont understand it because Im nobody's fan. There are lots of people whose work I admire, but it doesnt make me go crazy for the person doing the work.

I'm not crazy for him at all... I'm not a stupid fan... I'm not even excited, I just can't believe someone like him could be interested in someone like me. It just seems unreal, like I said... like not possible. Why me, that's what I ask myself? You know? He's famous but honestly that's not the question, it's how great of a person he is, and how me, I'm just... me.

he's not known in America, his books aren't translated in English, only a few.. but they're not advertised. which is too bad, really. I wonder why.. he's a best-seller in France and Russia, and other countries.. for his 14 books, and it's quite amazing cause they're full of great ideas and they're really unusual so.. it makes you feel like a lot of human beings aren't that stupid if so many like him. I can't describe his style. but you gotta be really open-minded.. he is also a film director. his most famous book, best-selling worldwide is Empire Of The Ants but although it's a great book, I think his other books should be translated too, they're not all about ants.. and it's not even about ants, well it is, but it's about human beings, above all. very philosophical. and all his books are philosophical, and also a mix of science-fiction, true facts, comedy, and mystery.. it's a unique style.

 

He's just a person, like everybody else
you are judging how great of a person he is for his work as a writer, I think that's the problem. If he was not Bernard Weber, the known writer and he talked to you on myspace, would you still feel the same way?
I mean how many amazing artists are there and then you met them and is just a regular human being or even worse an asshole, with their egos consuming their souls. I've happened to meet many people who's work I like, just like in random encounters and when I talked to them, Im like oh I liked you better when I didnt know you.. lol, I mean it doesnt have to be the same way.
I'm sure you are a great person too, just because he's a writer and he's famous, doesnt make him any better, everybody has their things and their own talent and sometimes that talent doesnt go with a great personality.
I dont know, I prefer anonymous people who I have no preconceived ideas and can spend all my time discovering them. I do think is awesome you are gonna get to talk to him, because you get to know the person behind the work. I guess I really dont like fame and all that glitz, even if the person is a genius or whatnot

People fall in love with others for admiration of their gifts. Why is this any different just because he is famous in Europe for his?

 

I'm not saying it's bad just because his famous. I just think the attitude she has of why would someone like him approach a person like me.. and from everybody he contacted me. I think that's kinda crazy, but you know, we all have our things. Like I said, I dont understand it, but I do hope they have an amazing time and everything goes great.

I also think that he'd want you to fuck him.

You must realize that people are different when you meet them face to face. The most brilliant writer can actually be a socially awkward hermit who cannot say a single sentence without stuttering.

You cannot judge what kind of a person someone is by his writing, his music playing, or anything like that... you can only truly know what kind of a person he is by observing his actions, and how he treats people.

Remember, even Dostoyevski was a complete asshole, a compulsive gambler, and a drunk... yet... how great his writing is!

 

I hear you, and I have already said it's not his fame and name that impress me, but his work.. and personality.. but you're right, maybe I do have preconceived ideas about him, because of his fame, indeed... it's an old cliche and I fell into it, like.. most of us would, I guess :tongue: it's hard not to, though

 

not yet, but I mean it's his official page.. it looks all official.. I recognize his style, he has pictures of him in his apartment with his cat, and there's other details.. but yeah I am not naive and perfectly aware it could be someone pretending to be him, I guess I'll find out haha

 

I know, I know.. I've seen him act though, on T.V, and my sister has met him, he seems perfectly normal, not creepy, not weird, and pretty much the way I described him, but it's true, who knows maybe it's just a mask? I'll find out, I guess... haha still can't believe I'm actually gonna get to find such a thing out :tongue:
