Hello fellow hippies! I am currently in carroll, ohio, about 20 minutes out of columbus. I have wanted nothing more than escaped this thing we call "materialistic living" and I want to be set free. Enlightened.. I want something more than technology and sitting in a house! Let's backpack, hitchhike, and travel as many places as we can go! We can get a group, or just the two of us. Your pets are welcome. I have a vehicle, but it's a two door Mitsubishi, therefore not reliable to travel in. I love earth and all things nature. I love all beings and want to live a typical counterculture lifestyle. If you are interested and in this area and you're 100% serious about this, let's do this!!!! ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

Welcome to the forum Devyrenee! I've been to Columbus (and the state of Ohio for that matter) a grand total of once. That was from July 31-August 2, 2010. Anyways...enjoy the forums! :)

Greetings Devon, I've been traveling around in the western states for years. I spent the last two winters in southern Arizona where the day temp is about 78 and nights are 48. In the spring I was in Nevada. My home is in Colorado where the cold is an issue during the winter. You can camp in the national forests and BLM lands for up to two weeks and then they want you to move. But, you only need to move about 20 or 25 miles to the next camp. It's best not to camp in towns where the cops can harass you. In the Pacific northwest you have a rainy season from October to May, so I usually try to go there during the summer. I welcome hip folks into my camps as long as they don't trash the place. I always leave the place cleaner than when I found it. The BLM lands are usually free camping. National forests are free unless you use their designated camps. If interested write back.
