ive had a few requests for pics so here they are. as for the method i used: i backcombed to start. my hair was pretty short, above my shoulders. i pretty much left them alone after that, let them fall out etc. but they stayed sectioned a little at the roots. after a few months i twist and ripped a few of the on top ones to make them look a little more presentable. i think i redid that a few months later. they congoed like mad around 6 months and i had to do some intense ripping which left me with chunks of loose hair. i crocheted that in at around 10 or 11 months. since then, i havnt done a thing to them apart from occasional ripping. oh i also rounded two ends just for kicks though most have now rounded themselves or are in the process of doing so which is pretty awesome. couple of macro shots-
they look wild n crazy concidering all u did to em still seems like would wanna go congo crazy is your hair really thick? seems the undreaded ends have alotta volume, not the typical whispiness but just alot of hair wonder why that is theyre definately commin along
thanks everyone!! i love the randomness too, i just let my hair do w/e the hell it wants and i love everything it does. yes brayingdonkey, i am a skoolie nut on top of that old bus (which doesnt run but has a pimp interior) i have a shorty that i have converted by myself. se, if you actually knew the extent to which i messed with them... well it was very very little in the grand scheme of the their progress and had hardly any effect on them. as for the volume at the ends, isnt it obvious... thats just my tips looping up on themselves. does that not happen to anyone? theyre like rounding themselves off in most cases. each tip has several little ends sticking out and a big loop or two on the end which is what all that volume is. the rest of my hair used to be almost that big, but its slowly getting tighter in the middle. its still a formidable headful.. at least it keeps my neck warm
could do. but is it ok to make a thread here on that subject? i mean, i hate coming here and seeing shit like "euthanasia! omgzz" but if you guys are into it i will

Thoes locks look super healthy scatteredleaves, So do you keep them "inside" alot..ie.. in tams/headware and whatnot?. Or do you like to keep them out in the elements?(you know how we have the rain and whatnot here in the Pacific Northwest...lol)
