    Actually I was wearing shoes when I entered, I was meeting a client for lunch. I did slip my shoes off after we were seated as I usually do if wearing shoes. I really don’t think there would be any problems,I am sure the waitress noticed my shoes were off when she was checking and didn’t say anything and when the manager came by to check on us she didn’t seem to mind.

    Most likely just a quaint saying. Surely they are not encouraging cowboys who come in after a hard days work to take off their boots? Yuck. Dirty sock aroma during dinner.

    Yea, that sign is a figure of speech. Imagine sitting down to dinner and smelling that? :eek:
