I broke 3 glasses I spilled coffee on some dude I got various glass cuts on my hands I got burnt by 2 cigarettes I was the center of drama and got yelled at because some girl thought her bf was hitting on me... but she yelled at me, not her bf (who really was hitting on me) and called me a whore, and a fucking French girl and other things... and I couldn't defend myself... (nor even felt like it, in fact) One of my coworkers is obviously very jealous of me since I kept catching her saying things about me while she thought I wasn't hearing/understanding... pathetic... one day... a brick will fall on her head I came home reeking of whisky, smoke and a mix of other people perfumes and stayed an hour and 10 minutes in the shower. It was... tough... but I'm okay I don't think I like my job though, but I'm gonna try and be tough too.
Welcome to the real world of drunks in public places. the latr it gets the better looking they all become!
Make a reality show out of this. Better than anything on TV right now. Makes Hell's Kitchen look like heaven. .
drunk people are hella dumb. hell, i hated working at a food joint near a bunch of bars, working til 2am and dealing with a bunch of the drunks. i wanted to smack them across the face. thankfully none ever yelled at me or burnt me or anything
Sorry to hear about your bad day Penny. It will take a bit of time getting used to particularly if you haven't done this type of work before. And I have to say you get difficult people everywhere, especially when you deal with the public (scum of the earth a lot of the time). Trust me I know. But you'll learn to adapt to the various situations that you're in. So in time you'll feel more confident and will be less affected by these types of people. Good Luck x
working in the service industry is one of the toughest places to work alot of people don't understand that i've only spent the last year working, and in that one year it's been a fucking crazy roller coaster of emotions
haha thanks for the support guys.. it's true, I knew it would be like that and honestly.. SPAIN does get out of control when it's partying.. it's wilder than anywhere else I've been.. even Ireland. Here they don't drink beers like in America, they drink so much whisky... And the girls, oh my.. so aggressive and so dramatic.. I mean not all of them I don't wanna say they're all like that here cause they're not but.. that latin blood ahem  I felt like I was in a telenovela last night lol very dramatic.. hate it.. I don't really like this job, honestly, though there's a lot I do love about it.. it's really hard work but can be so much fun too I do have some fun.. I just wish I didn't work in such a crowded placed, so late, with stupid coworkers and I wish more of the cool people came out rather than the scum and dramatic girlfriends hehe I'll be alright. This is a great experience!
I know what you mean with some latinos. I got slapped around the face by this crazy woman at a bar in Italy because she thought my friend and I were after her husband, who we were just chatting to as he was the owner of the place. We were like 20 and 21 at the time and he must have been nearly 50.....and not a particular good looking one at that! Some people are paranoid. Then again you could get that in England or anywhere where people are drinking too much. Your bedroom looks beautiful by the way.
yeah there's crazy people everywhere I mean sometimes you find more of them of a certain kind concentrated around a particular.. area.. but then again.. it's everywhere the same.. pretty much..
