i was working on the bike this afternoon andcleaning a years worth of road dirt and chain lube out of the drive train. that was about five hours ago. i've probably washed my hands ten times since and they still smell ike 87-MOR unleaded.
Oh yuck... I hate that myself! Lemon juice works well When I was a printer I'd get solvent on my hands frequently, they had this orange soap for mechanics that worked quite well also. Seems the citrus will cut thru that smell and remove any grease/ink as well.
The GoJo citrus hand cleaner is great for that. Smells orangey, has a bit of grit to get off the tough stuff, dissolves oil and grease. Squirt it on, rub it around, wipe on a rag and rinse off with soap and water....gets that heavy dark molly grease off, too.
