Hey guys, this will be my growlog! It's located in a top secret location and I'd have to kill you if you knew the location! Haha, just Joshin, not about how top secret it is though, lol! I don't have any pictures quite just yet, but I promise some will be provided soon. Here's my setup: - 2 clones of weed that a friends parent provided me with. I'm not sure what strain, but he's been doing this for years and I love the mellow relaxed buzz I get from his bud. - 1 feminized seedling of silver haze, also from the parents of someone else I know. I'm not sure how this is, but it must also be pretty nice. - 2 florescent tubes for plants and aquariums. - 2 florescent desk lights for better coverage when they get bigger. - Fan blowing (of course lol) - Tinfoil reflectors above and at the sides. - Shelf holding plants closer to the light. - Compost soil. I wanted to see how this worked. It seems to be working nicely so far, it's been in my composter for years. They've been growing for about 2 weeks now. On both of the clones, they each had leaves that were just too big to support for the root system, so they completely died out. The other 2 leaves on the clones are still standing firmly though, they needed some help with some humidity baggies and a heating pad at first, but they seem to be going well now. Also on one of the clones, baby leaves seem to be peaking out to say hello, and they are a healthy green colour. The silver haze seedling grew and grew towards the light, making a bit uncomfortably tall for me, so I transplanted it into a bigger pot so I could cover more of it. Now it's at a healthy distance between the light and it seems to be focusing on growing out rather than up now. I've transplanted the seedling and one of the clones that is growing the new leaves into bigger pots now and they are still thriving. The other clone is still standing proud, but I really don't see it trying to grow much, perhaps it's still working on its roots? Well, I'll give that one a bit longer to see if I want to transplant it. The tips of the un-transplanted clone have turned yellow the last couple of days, but haven't gotten really better or worse. Those leaves are quite big for the pot, but of well, what can you do, I'm sure it's working on something if it's already lived this long. Thanks for the read, pics will be up within the next couple of days. Any pointers you can give without seeing them yet? Thanks for reading, take care!
careful with the tinfoil...in my research i came across an article that said tinfoil should be used cautiously as it creates heat spots cuz its a reflective surface(duh) baby those lil guys..baby them...coddle them...love them..
If ya wanna use foil use the backside, not as reflective so it won't burn. IMO white eggshell paint works best.>)
Lol i've said this already today but fairly common for bottom leafs to yellow and maybe die out on clones just a sign there starting to take.
..what the fuck is imo? i see this everywhere...but i cannot put 2 and 2 together.. so please what is it?
Alright guys, so far one of the clones has died out sadly. It was the one that looked confused as hell and looked like it was stuck in the budding phase (clones were taken late). I'm not sure what killed it, but I was assuming the soil, so I decided to go get some all purpose potting soil, fertilizer, bug killing spray, starter pots, perllite and rooting gel. I'm going to clone my seedling a couple of times when it gets a bit bigger to compensate for the loss of the clone. The other clone hasn't shown any new growth above soil, however, it has shown me that it's growing some sort of expanding root system, and the leaves are doing better now. A link to some pics will be supplied tomorrow when I'm not too lazy to upload them. Night everyone, and thanks for the tips, I scrapped the tinfoil since they aren't even in flowering phase yet.
