My Friends Dog Ate Some Of My Shrooms!

So i bought an 8th of shrooms, and i went to my friends house to trip. So I eat the shrooms and go outside to smoke a blunt. So im sitting on the porch smoking, talking with some friends, and starting to trip pretty hard. So Im just chillin when all of a sudden the guy whos house im at (im friends with the guys girlfriend and not really him too much....they both live together), anyway...Hes like "come here!!" and he puts a chewed up stem and cap in my hand. Hes like "i found my dog chewing on these...if i have to get him put to sleep because of this, i am going to kick your ass." He says that when an animal eats shrooms, it will trip the rest of its life. And this guy is serious about his ass kicking thearts. Hes insane...one of those death metal guys with like "night of the living dead" shit all over his house. But he is serious when he says he will kick somebodys ass. Anyway...Im am tripping hardcore at that point and scared shitless. So i go back inside the house and check on the dog paranoid as shit. and everytime that dog did something strange, i flipped the fuck out. But luckily the dog was cool...but that night definetly sucked. I havnt gone back to the house since...except to buy weed. So can a dog really halucenate the rest of its life if it eat shrooms?

What a lucky dog. He, thats an awesome story. Don't worry about the dog, they metabolise psilocybin the same way humans do, and it wont trip for longer then a few hours. Perma-frying isn't a real occuence with either humans or animals with any hallucinagen. You might wanna hang out with more chill people when your frying though.

 

Animals get very frightened when they are given hallucinagens. The dog will not trip "the rest of his life" although some animals do get paranoid for a while after the trip, not knowing why it happened.

Lesson: Be careful where you trip.

Be careful what kind of people you trip around (death metal dudes who like to kick ass should definately be avoided, remember Leary's set and settting)

and don't leave your drugs lying around for innocent animals to maybe hurt themselves with.

 

Yeah, usually they are really chill, cool people. They did have some freaky shit in their house that wouldnt be so nice to see when you were tripping. I dontknow why i tripped there. Yeah, it was stupid on m part to be so carless with the shrooms too. But damn yo.

 

Not all animals get very frightened just depends. Some dogs really do enjoy them, or love being around their humans that are tripping. Other dogs have bad trips, and some will avoid people tripping because it makes them nervous.
We have a beautiful airedale that enjoys eating them. We always end up having a wonderful experience outdoors with her. My old cat King also enjoyed them as well, and he would lay upside down looking at any light purring.
In the wild you actually have certain animals that actually enjoy them. Some birds like to dine on Ergot fungus, reindeers love love LOVE Amanitas, Bears have been seen eating psilocybin mushrooms intentionally, and Primates will munch those magic fungi.

actually from what i understand hallucinagens dont work on dogs...their brains dont contain teh same chemicals and recepters as we do that make us trip.

there have been studies done on this and the conclucions are that, mushrooms will only make them more active for an hour or two...much like if you were do ingest meth...so i dont think your dog tripped at all let alone the rest of his life

 

My dog ate some shrooms on accident once. For a couple hours, he was rolling around, running and barking. He had a very good time from what I saw. Theres no trip for life.

 

yeah dogs trip but not a good idea - som1s dog tripped out by accident & kept running in2 walls & stuff - only lasted 4 a few hrs - i think it is dead now but I heard it wasn't such a happy animal after the incident - less trusting& growly & ting

 

keep a better eye on your shit in the future, so you can enjoy it.
