    tip for next time:

    1) soak seeds in room temperature water overnight
    2) dont use fertilizers until the plant is almos 6 inches tall

If its sprouted with the seed husk still attached you should gentle remove it plus any membrane left on the grow tip or shoot. Just means ya did.nt plant it deep enough and it did.nt rip it off on its way to the surface.
Yep it just so so cute when they start.

Most growers will tell you not to use Mirical Grow. However I have used their organic choice potting soil with great results.

the reason to not use miracle grow is mainly that it isnt very "specialized" (ie: equal parts N-P-K).

its actually worth the effort to spend an extra 20$ and buy organic fertilizers in my opinion. the plant will be less likely to have nutrient burns, be a cleaner smoke, and it adds a nice level of quality to your efforts.

I use fish emulsion and worm casting for vegetative growth, and seaweed, bone/blood meals, and molassas for flowering.

well the reason most growers tell you not to use miracle grow is because of the time release ferts in it........you never know when your plant is getting fed and what it's getting fed for that matter.........

Im having EXCELLENT results with straight fox farm ocean forest soil through veg then for flower i t-plant them into fresh ocean forest mixed with a touch of there POM all purpose dry fert........then when they look hungry abit of fox farm big bloom and gh kool bloom liquid ferts.......works like a charm..........the big bloom is loaded with worm castings and bat guano!!! Really great stuff!!

Good luck with your grow mang!

Good old loam for me. Now dont you go transplanting ya only do more damage then good this soon you can always repot later when plants are getting sizeable enough to allow for now just enjoy watching them grow.
I would of though with miracle grow and the time release ferts if ya growing over a complete season then it would be good stuff my garden friends swear by it but if your on a quick grow and flower then yeah its not the best you can use.

this is 6 days since i planted it. and i water it once a day, i planted 4 more to see how they'd work. and i peeled the membrane off that one and it's starting to grow :D

it's just schwag weed, but hopefully it'll be good :D

How long will it be till i can look at it and know it's a male plant cause if it is im plucking it.

Try not to water every day if ya can mj dont like that.
Under lights 6-8 weeks to sex outside can take anytime from 6 weeks till bloom time without forcing it. Males have pollen sacks that drop on stalks and open up to cast pollen whiles female have buds with white pisils so for female ya lookin for the plants that have got white hairs coming out of its heads stalks and leaf nodes.

What kind of planter are you using and does it have drainage holes on the bottom?
From my experience pot like to be watered, have the soil dry out then get rewatered. However the soil should dry out, not the plant.

Alright, well ive been letting the soil dry before rewatering it.

Alright, i know what to look for to see if it's a male or female.

In about 1 week i'm moving my plants into my attic, under two 17w fluourescent lighting. Im also buying a timer for it so it'll turn off when it needs to.

What should i make the time? Like 18/6 or what?

during the veg part 24 hour lighting is best, then flip to 12/12 when you flower.
Also maybe another, more experienced grower can tell f that is sufferance lighting. I think you need more.

    plant #1
    [IMG]
It's leaning for light, but i propped it up and put it out in more direct sunlight.

    plant #2/#3
plant #3 is the one furthest from the camera. It's slowly growing =/
plant #2 fell over so i burried it more with dirt.

Alright so i moved my plants indoor and hung them up under 2 fluorescent bulbs.

Also my biggest plant just grew the 3 leafs... idk what it's called.
Which made me happy, cause this plant is doing good, hope it turns out to be a female plant, this plant is very vigorous.

    Same plant
    [IMG]

    All 3 of the plants
    [IMG]

All 3 under the light, the light is about 4 inches away from the smaller ones and 3 inches awya from the biggest one.

swim sprouted 6 , he planted them 3 inches deep and was scared they would never rise.

two came up QUICK! and they look strong and healthy. another joined shortly after. This one fell out of the pot as swim dropped it!!!. Replanted "HER" and so far she seems just fine as the root system was still TINY.

Swim was scared about a 3/6 so he dug his lil fingers and revealed the other babies hiding low in the dirt.

Swim wonders would they have made it out on their own? Feels like some kind of plant savior greenthumb.

also, he uses miracle grow dirt and loves it. he also uses a tropical mix and loves that as well.

What he does is perlite about an inch or two at the bottom , then put miracle grow seedling soil .

watering very gentle the first few days because he has killed a baby in the past, dry over wet seems to work just fine.

once the baby is strong he waters so that the soil doubles in weight, and play elevator with your baby so the water drains down to the bottom. Also you can feel the weight like this. Swim lets the dirt dry out completely, he thinks the babies love it like swimming and drying off in the sun and swimming again.

Swim finds that the miracle grow nutes will not be sufficient very soon, when this happens its a good time to repot the babies. This time swim mixes the tropical mix with the miracle grow same size pot or upgrade does not really matter. Fresh soil, new home and be careful and loving during the process.

when these nutes run out also swim uses liquid nutes very sparingly and talks to his plants a lot
