    Sonnet

    Heed you a blue and blissful breeze? Or no?

    Perceive you not a glance of timid eyes?

    Avert thy tender thoughts to silent cries,

    For fear won’t fade the feeble force of snow.

    To flaunt at he who dwells amongst the low,

    Assuming that his worth compares to lies

    That creep and crawl from swarming dirty flies,

    And guide one’s soul whose mind shall never grow.

    Indicative is laughter warm with love,

    So freely flowing from thy starving tongue.

    The fool that is deceived by such delight,

    Is he who judges others from above:

    Within himself a heart so dry and wrung;

    Denying him of love’s true inner sight.
