My Experience With Psychedelic's

Hi all, first post here but i have been lurking for a while.

A few years ago i tried shrooms for the first time. I had never done any research on psychedelic's such as set and setting or anything of that nature so i went into it pretty much blind. Me and 2 other friends each had an 8th to ourselves. It was a good experience. We all fought the horrible taste and chewed up our quantities and began our night. I started off by getting somewhat of a body buzz, a really weird light feeling accompanied by extreme anxiousness and fear. I started getting extremely paranoid as the trip kicked in and tried to make myself throw up. All this did was intensify it. My friends were playing computer games so i layed down on the bed in the same room with them. I closed my eyes and just gave in and i truly lost my ego. The experience was intense. I felt one with the world and childhood memories were brought back to me that i couldnt remember before but i still can now. Memories from when i was 3 years old and my brother was being born. How i fought my dad and grandma to bring my mom a cheeseburger she asked for before her c section. Everything was extremely vivid and seemed as real as the day it happened. From what i can remember i was guided and shown all the paths i chose to take in life, and all the branching possible other path's from past and future. I truly felt close to god and one with the world. It was an experience i will try to never forget. I took a trip around myself and found out who i really was. You experienced guys should know exactly what im talking about. As they say the bad trips are the most beneficial right?

Since the first time ive only done shrooms 2 other times which were spread out with months in between them. The second time gave me literally no visuals, made me paranoid and really i think i just felt retarded for a few hours. Third time i was with a friend and his wife and we tried to watch the movie "altered states" I didnt really get any visuals or insight i just got really freaked out by the movie which was a bad idea.

It was over a year later and pretty recent that i found out there was LSD available in my area. I really got into studying lsd on the internet after work. For a few weeks before i took the plunge and tried it for my first time i read everything i could find to read and watched all the videos i could watch. I was not about to go into lsd blind like i did with shrooms. I found this forum, erowid, and youtube good resources. I did my homework per say.

On the day that a friend and I were to do it, i went to walmart. The people in that store must have thought i was crazy. I had a cart full of goodies. I did a lot of reading on set and setting so i took great care in the planning of our trip and the environment i would be in. I wanted to keep busy. I bought a bunch of stuff, pop rocks, waterless hand sanitizer, sketch pads, markers, crayons, pencils, mini notebooks for writing things down, Popsicles (plastic sleeve variety), no mess kids modeling clay, i pretty much raided walmart of everything brightly colored. The looks i got from people in the checkout line were hillarious.

Went home and set up my living room with blacklights and hand picked a bunch of music that i played through winamp with the milkdrop visualization running full resolution on my hdtv. My buddy arived and we embarked on our journey. The stuff we took was just drops on sweet tart candies. We didnt know wether to chew them or hold them under our tounge so we chewed them up and swallowed them. 1 each. About an hour later we both ate 1 more. The trip kind of started off slowly and built up. It was very intense. Music truly came alive and everything was breathing. The milkdrop visual on the tv was absolutely amazing. I should have took a shit before hand but i ended up taking a massive dump in the height of my trip. It was wierd needless to say. Anyone ever done it?

So we are both tripping hard by now. My friend ended up instant messaging with his wife on the computer. I couldn't pry him from it. I had a feeling it might send him into a bad state of mind and give him a bad trip. Sure did. This was the first time he lost his ego. He experienced what i had experienced on my first shroom trip. He was hardcore addicted to opiate painkillers. has been for a long time. When he came out of his zone he opened up to me and told me everything. He realized it was time to quit. I have never heard the guy speak so clearly and open minded. He explained to me that early in his trip he opened the wrong door (right door if you ask me) and once through that door there was no going back. He told me that it was the first time he could not hide from his problems. There was no escape, he accepted it and looked them in the face and it terrified him. It hasnt been but a few weeks but he has already showed a major improvement. Its as if the trip is helping him turn his whole life around. Its a long road but the trip was the turning point in his life. Hopefully he sticks with it.

For me this trip didnt give me any insight or understanding. It was an awesome experience and i had a lot of fun but i was expecting it to last a lot longer than it did. All in all it lasted about 5-6 hours. The thing that boggles my mind is that when my buddy had his revelation and explained it to me, we both were just dropped. It just ended abruptly. It was almost as if we were supposed to trip that night for his sake. It was supposed to happen, it was planned and once we were given the good out of it there was no longer a reason to keep tripping. It absolutely blew my mind. I dont know what to say?

Do you think it was just weak acid? Could it have possibly been LSA instead of LSD? It was really intense while it lasted but i never did really leave reality and disassociate like i read about.

I will definitely be willing to experiment more in the future with the right preparation.

Well no offence, is the whole point of this thread just to ask whether it was lsd or lsa you took? This page on erowid shows how long the lsd experience lasts, you should have been feeling after effects even after 10 hours. It could have been lsa since you said it only lasted 5-6 hours, but there is really no way we can tell man.

There's no way you had LSA, it comes in seeds and is impossible to concentrate LSA that much to get a good dose on a sweet tart. You had LSD, might have been weak or short lasting for some reason or another I don't know.

No way. You couldn't fit enough LSA on a Sweet Tart to get a cat high. I think it was a low dose of L, but if you're really convinced that it's something else, it's probably a RC.

 

Well it was my first time taking lsd so i didnt know. Like you guys said it was probably a really low dose of some weak stuff. I just found it really odd how it just dropped us. It was strange. I had studied a lot and was expecting at least 8 hours with a build up, plateau, and come down. Never got the come down, or maybe we didnt notice it? it was extreme then nothing thats the best way i can explain it.
