yeah most forus ban those things from sigs. although to my knowledge they only show you your own details, i don't think they show anyone else.

Also its not really an expolite, its a browser identification requirement of all browsers in All OSes. Mac, Linux, and any browser you use will give the appropriate inforamtion.

its used by large websites to choose what content they show. for example this website looks different in OSX and WIndows. because of the software on the server side choosing what info is sent based on what OS you are using.

no actually a lot of people get annoyed at them. they feel their privacy is being invaded (which in some ways it is)

in many forums on the net, the exact thing you are using is banned (in all the forums except this one that i am a member of)
