    Everyone goes barefoot when they die (toe-tags fit better that way!). Epitaph-wise, I'd probably go for something along the lines of: "Such-and-such is like a pool of fire."

  6. Everyone lies dead, and some are barefoot. I'd "rather" be alive and enjoying the sensations of GOING barefoot! Those coffins just do NOT allow for much movement!

    Epitaphs usually consider death a prerequisite and society appears to feel coffins are more acceptable than leaving bodies littering the countryside. Besides, not everyone lies when they are dead. Some are quite honest about it.
