My Dream Career Is On The Horizon

It took forever. Lots of dead ends and deceptive people who let me down. Nearly a thousand applications filled with no results and rejections. Working a slow paced, low paying job I was overqualified for. Seeing my less talented college classmates get hired over me. I was running out of hope.

Until one day....
I crossed paths with a neighbor in my apartment's elevator. He asked what I did and I told him I was trained in product design, and I'm sick of the job market. His eyes lit up and he said "I might need someone like you for a project I'm working on!" We exchanged business cards.

He and his partner from the other side of the country reviewed my portfolio and asked me several questions. They showed me the project they wanted me to work on. These guys are very well known in computer electronics and they want me to design a case for their new product! We wrote up a contract and now we are more than half way done! Soon my first design will hit mass production! But the most exciting part is that this is a whole new type of product that the public has never seen!

 

like they say, it's not what you know but who you know.
