so yea i got em done on saturday which makes 4 days old or so and ive been palm rolling them a bit and now theyre kinda frizzy, im worried that theyre coming undone but then again i always assume the worst, i dunno she did em weird way and its all in another post but yea im also worried they might fall out when i wash em but we'll see. i guess this is just a rant about my worries :edit: so i took some pics last night just to show you what they look like now, you cant really see the frizzy nor am i really all that concerned about it anymore, these were taking in an underlit room with a cell phone so not the best quality thats the front and this is the back so yea there ya go, sorry about how ahitty of a pic it is maybe ill take different ones today
they will get frizzy, and they will get frizzier. and looser, and you will worry your ass off, and each time you wash them, they will get even worse. then after about 3 or 4 months you will start noticing the magic happen. just treat them as you would with normal hair, wash regulary time.
what atlantic said. In all likelihood they will for the most part fall out but that is just the nature of the beast. Washing once a week or so seems to be best for most.
They probably will fall out...then re knot up.. that is just what happens when you get dreads backcombed dreads or salon dreads or whatever are not dreads yet dreads are knotted hair
They're lookin' good so far, I think. The more you worry about them, it seems, the more you hinder them. Listen to what these folks above me are saying. They know their stuff.
yea i kinda just came to the conclusion that my hair is gonna do what its gonna do and all i can really do is give it a push in the right direction and itll knot itself up so theirs no point worrying, im just gonna enjoy the trip
That's exactly what's happening to mine - they are 13 day old babies and are frizzy and loose in places - it's normal from what I hear! One day, we'll look back at this and smile whilst looking at our tight, natty dreads!
dude i'm freaking out and i've only had mine for a day i ended up washing them because i felt crazy gross so that just makes me worry even more.. *sigh* hopefully things will turn out alright
dreads can stay frizzy for a very long time. it wasn't until about 6 months when mine settled down all the way. and pereatxtristitia, it's only been a day. patience...
