lol I call'em my dread-sastre because of the process. I feel better now in my third week. I think they go their way to be ok.

I prefer to wait to the next month to do it. I think 2 month won't harm them. The roots are a little bit loose and they are not firm enough to let them totally free. My hair gets loose so easy. If I'm doing wrong please explain me why. Thanks for the advice though.

I'd take the bands out, now. Your dreads should be formed enough not to need them. Plus leaving them in will end up with the dread eating it like one of my dreads did. Nom nom nom.

the bands dont do much in my opinion.. the roots arent ganna fall out/off, the hair wont untangle and your locks wont fall out/off either. the bands restrict movement.. the roots will be loose for quite a while yet

I always make sure rubbers don't get melted with my hair. They aren't really pressed.

I backcombed my hair to have dreads. Maybe it wasn't correct to do it, but I did. Some of them back in my head got loose and i had to do them again. My hair is so fine that it gets loose as easy as that. That's why I have rubberband :( Even with that, I had to remove the rubber?

i was backcombed 5 1/2 weeks ago.. i dont use bands, dont use wax, dont palmroll etc etc, and some are REALLY loose.. as in, loose root, a section of tangle, and then normal hair.. but its all part of it. i know (hope) that these loose ends will sort themselves out with time, and im not ganna try and force them to knot up

im just saying that in my opinion, and from my own experience.. the bands arent useful or necessary. if you think theyre helping, then leave them for a bit. i know amy used them and liked them =]

you just gatta have faith that your hair will tangle =]

My back combing all fell out 2 months in. First inch or two was dreaded, the rest wasn't!

:) Thanks a lot for your opinion. I would like to have my hair like yours now that you don't need nothing of this process. But mine is so fine... I will keep them for a little while and remove them later. Justa a couple of week. I saw Amy's flirck gallery and she used them. Think she would agree with letting them on.
And I wll; have faith. Thanks!
